    After considering 4 other companies to redo the siding on my house and install a new front door, I decided to go with A&D Exteriors for several reasons. First, I saw some other homes they completed in the area and they looked great. Second, they did get good reviews on several websites. Third, the person I worked with (Gene) was genuine and not "salesy" at all. He made recommendations and explained everything thoroughly which made me feel I could trust him. The only concern I had before hiring them was the price. They were actually the lowest price quote I received and that always scares me. But I am so glad I made this decision. I signed the agreement (no money upfront) and the materials were ordered in October with the expectation that work would begin in the spring. Gene communicated updates to me throughout the winter and one day he calls and says we have a 5-7 day window of good weather coming up and asked if I wanted to get started in 2 days... they started the work immediately. I got to know Al (the true talent in the company) and talk about a fantastic guy!! He was always very courteous and asked about every little thing to make sure the work was done to my complete satisfaction. The work was completed in about a week with all siding, windows capped, gable vents, posts and garage capped, and a new entry door installed. As my wife and I inspected the work, we really wanted to find something wrong but we couldn't! His miter joints were picture perfect... I've never seen work that perfect before! As he was cleaning up on the final day, I could really tell he cared deeply about his work because he would make the tiniest little adjustments on things to insure 100% perfection. I can't say enough good things about this company, Gene Rathbone and Al. The mock-up pictures they did beforehand compared to the actual pictures are almost identical... even their designer did a fantastic job!! I will use them for any and all work I need in the future

John was in constant contact with us throughout the project to ensure we had no unanswered questions or issues. His crew was professional and efficient. In addition to quality work, they also did an excellent job of cleanup, during, and at completion of the project.     I am very pleased with the service that I received from Illinois Energy. While the cost was not the lowest the quality of materials as well as the lifetime warranty, which is transferable, were major factors that I took into consideration when deciding to go with them. I was quoted that it would take 10-20 weeks for the door to arrive and they were ready to install the door right at 10 weeks. They worked with the city to get all the permits needed and provided me all the information so that I could get the approval through my HOA. They were very professional and worked with my schedule to find the best time to get the door installed. The team that came to install my door were very respectful and performed quality work. The took the time to make sure that everything was correct and then cleaned up all the debris that was left from the removal of the old door and the installation of the new door. The door itself is very nice and slides with the greatest of ease

    Matthew was fantastic! Knowledgeable and friendly and very efficient. He handled multiple projects for me in a rental unit I have such as painting and repairing ceiling damage, along with other small fixes throughout the unit. He arrived on time and was professional and responsive the entire time. He explained what was needed and then worked over the course of 2 visits to complete everything he said he would. The booking process with Michael was also easy. Michael was very responsive and knowledgeable and answered all my questions ahead of the job. Would definitely hire again. Highly recommend

    We used Illinois Energy Windows and Siding to replace our front door 4 years ago and just a couple of weeks ago to install a sliding glass door. Their team was fantastic to work with. Derek was very courteous and thorough when picking options, their team followed up before manufacturing to make sure all the information was correct, and their installers did a great job and cleaned everything up. We will definitely be using them again for our next project

    my old screen door was falling off and falling apart, and I decided to get a new heavy storm door. Bryan in sales was patient, thorough (and tolerate of dog kisses!), and warned of a supply delay (thanks, Covid), but door came in earlier than expected. The installer (Juan) was extremely competent and did a fantastic job installing and finishing - it looks great, functions perfectly. Well worth the cost
