About this movie

Oscar® nominee Ethan Hawke, in the most disturbing role of his career, stars in a new psychological thriller from Blumhouse and the director who brought you Sinister and Doctor Strange. Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer (Hawke) and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn't happen to Finney.

Beautiful story line and performances. I did enjoy every bit of this. Has some eye teary part and some courageous moments. Did a good job of putting you in the kid shoes and fearing for them... You really get attached to the characters and it does make the movie a worthy watch.

Great horror film! Deserves to be watch more than once! Ethan Hawke performance was both excellent & chilling he was born to play this role! It also provides a perfect example to never interact & speak to strangers. The lesson this movie gives is both horrifying & satisfying!

I normally don't review but I have to say do not waste 1 dollar on this movie! I was so excited to see it because it was a new horror movie. 100 percent flop, good concept, stupid movie all around. Ethan Hawke played 10 15 mins the whole movie.
