Aldi has joined in on the Black Friday sales for the first time ever, and its huge discounts on big-name items rival those of the top retailers. 

It has revealed a huge saving on the Apple AirPods at the cheapest price we’ve seen so far, but as with all of Aldi’s “special buys”, once they are gone they are gone, so you’ll need to act fast.

Aldi has slashed the price of the second generation AirPods by a whopping £110, as they usually retail at £199. Until now, the best price we’ve found them at is on Amazon for £124.49, so this truly is the hottest AirPods deal around.

The Independent’s technology critic, David Phelan, rated these highly in his review of the best wireless headphones, praising them for being “some of the very lightest in-ears you can find”.

He added that the “audio quality is very good, as is call quality, which works even if you only use one earbud”.

Like the AirPod Pro earbuds, Phelan noted that you can simply “say, ‘Hey, Siri’ to invoke the virtual assistant without even touching the earbuds,” which is a handy feature if you’re on the go.
