Emma Henderson is the IndyBest Editor, where she's held the role since 2018, and she specialises in writing about food and drink, sustainability, and reducing single-use plastics. Emma has worked at The Independent since 2015, where she started on The Independent on Sunday and the i newspapers news reporting. The same year, she also began shifting on the The Independent's website, reporting on general news. From 2017, Emma was the editor of IndyEats, The Independent’s monthly digital food magazine, which was twice shortlisted for "best food magazine" at the Guild of Food Writers Awards. She also worked on The Daily Edition, The Independent's digital newspaper after the print edition closed in 2016. Here Emma worked on commissioning and editing long form features, as well as general features covering everything from tech, food, design, science and travel. Emma has written for the lifestyle, opinion culture, news and features desks.
