I have been installing flooring for over 40 years, in all variety of floor covering. In 2011, I semi-retired and took up a position at UK Flooring Direct as their Product & Technical training manager, although I continued to fit floors on my weekends. During my time at UKFD, I encountered many issues where their customers, were getting bad service from the installers they were using and so, in 2016, I gave up the desk job and returned to full time fitting.

I install all types of wood or wood based flooring and LVT vinyl flooring.
Qualifications
I first went out working with my Dad when I was 8 years old. It was the Summer holidays and basically it was to get me out from under my Mom's feet..this turned out to be the start of my apprenticeship.
My Dad was the Sales manager at Wades carpet and furnishings in Coventry for many years and also an installer, so I was learning both sides of the business.
I am now in my 57th year and consider my qualifications to be those obtained from learning the skills passed down through my fathers experiences as well as those attained over the my many hours of installations completed.
I am also currently 3x Covid 19 vaccinated, but still following social distancing guidance.
