Slate Roofing Repair Contractors In Your Area

  • Riba Construction, LLC

"Riba did excellent work and provided exceptional customer service in replacing two skylights which were over 30 years old. Currently available skylights are slightly smaller so they installed molding around the edges in the interior shaft so the metal framing would not be visible. This proved to be a challenge given all the angles and slants in the shaft, but Riba came back twice to ensure the job was completed in a high quality manner. Riba also repaired where a leak had damaged the wall and repainted the room. I had used Riba on a previous job and will definitely use them again given the outstanding job they've done both times!"

  • Burns Contracting, Inc.

"Mr. Burns is quite knowledgeable about the type of roof we had (built-up, also known as slag or tar & gravel), and the repairs necessary to correct a leak (vice replacement). Other roofers wouldnâ t take the job - it was out of their sphere of experience. Mr. Burns was prompt, clean and efficient, and charged a reasonable amount. On his first visit, Mr. Burns repaired part of the roof and eave that had rotted away over time. The rot was due to long term (years) water intrusion. There were two possible sources for the origin, but we took his advice to wait for rain to determine which area needed repair work. He returned in a few days, after a heavy rainstorm revealed the source, to find and repair the source of the leak higher up. The roof has been trouble free since his repair. "

    Creative Energy Of Virginia

"Very good experience in dealing with Creative Energy. They gave an excellent price to begin with so I didn't have to negotiate pricing and they also provided helpful insight in drawing up an excellent design. Work was meticulous, they cleaned up well after completing the project. The only issue I had was the project extended well into 3 months, wish it could have completed sooner so that I could have enjoyed the deck that summer it was built. Other than that I would definitely recommend then for any future projects. "

    DryHome Roofing

"They prepared a nice brochure with an estimate for the job, explaining the materials they would use, warranties, etc. -- representative came to meet with me and go over the details of the job before we agreed on the contract. Had no problems at all."

    An Construction Company, Inc.

"I was very pleased with the work An Construction did on our bathroom. Han was very easy to work with and did a professional job. They cleaned up after themselves each day (except the tile guys were a little messy), were friendly and kept their appointments (again, except the tile guys). I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting similar work performed. "

Slate roofs are built to last over a hundred years, but they still need occasional repairs and maintenance to stay in good shape. Individual tiles can crack and let water leak below the roof's surface. The tile nails or the flashing around the edge can weaken over time. Find a local repair expert who can inspect and maintain your slate roof.

Slate roofers know how to keep your current roof in good condition. Instead of looking for a repair company that can just replace the occasional cracked tile, look for local services that can:

  • Inspect the flashing and fastening annually.
  • Restore your roof after long periods without maintenance.
  • Replace shattered or cracked tiles.
  • Check the roof interior and exterior for signs of excess moisture.

Slate roofs need regular maintenance to last through the decades. Type in your zip code and HomeAdvisor will find slate roof repair services near you.
