"We were looking to add some insulation to our home to help with cooling/heating bills. We also wanted an additional attic entry with a ladder pull down installed. Eco-Systems responded to my inquiry in record time, were able to come out to give a quote just a few days later and they provided me with a quote the same day. I hired them for the job because when comparing apples to apples, there price was very competitive. Additionally, Gary seemed very honest and thorough. From intitial inquiry to completion of job, it only took 1 week. The attic access and ladder look great- we are hoping our utility bills reflect the added insulation!"

"I was a little skeptical to use them because it is a newer company, but I am beyond satisfied with their hard work. I hired them for a new AC unit, but ended up with a full energy efficient home. I highly recommend EC Mechanical. The gentlemen I worked with directly was Eduardo. He knows his stuff! He was so passionate about explaining every detail. This guys literally redesigned the duct system and modified everything so the AC worked as little as possible and maintain the home cooler. They also did all the drywall repair, texture and insulation. Very clean and very professional. The only thing they did not do is painting, but that was discussed before contract. Very happy with everything. I figured they deserved a review."

"State 48 went above and beyond. They were cheaper than every competitor we spoke with, the techs were knowledgeable and honest, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and did an excellent job. Their warranties were also longer than all other quotes we received. But to be honest, they did such a good job that I would be surprised if I would ever need them for any warranty work. State 48 is by far the best AC company I have done business with. Their tech even caught my dog after he ran out. The work has been done and paid for yet they are still helping us with rebates and home warranty problems. They will always be my only choice for any home related work"

"I hired RS Builders for my hotel remodeling project. This was for my Holiday Inn located in Peoria, AZ. This was related to remodeling of rooms on all 4 floors, lobby, meeting rooms, breakfast room, gym, laundry room and pool area. I was really satisfies with the price I paid for the whole project and of course the crew did a fantastic job. Usually it is way more than what I paid for my project. Contractor communicated thru out the project on each and every phase, which was really helpful. I would re-hire them for my future projects."

"We have a 30 year old home that had only 6" of Cellulose insulation in the attic. Now it has the recommended 10" @R-38. Half of home has a flat roof with about 12" of clearance for insulation that was extremly difficult to access. Thanks to the two Steves and John they "Got her done". Also got the $600 rebate savings from SRP. We are Looking forward to lower electricity bills this summer. They were on time at 6:00 am and all cleaned-up and on their way to the next job by 8:00am. "I highly recommend these two gentlemen. I was going to go with Solar and was offered a free insulation job as a perk. After a education from Eric, I was renewed in my thinking about what really needed to be done to reduce my power bill. I had around 2 inches of insulation and now have over 12 inches throughout the attic. Eric and Phillip showed up on time, took their time and did a lot of extra things to ensure there were no leaks throughout all the duct work. Took off all vents, sealed any gaps that might have been leaking from the ceiling and so much more. 1400 square feet and they completed the job in around 2 1/2 hours. They could have easily done it quicker but that's not who these guys are. They a perfectionists and wanted to be sure we were satisfied customers. I waited until I got my next electric bill before posting my compliment because I wanted to see if the insulation job they did would make much difference. I paid $445.00 to APS last month (Yeah, crazy right?). This month my bill is $100 less and I believe it's largely due to the job I had them do. We are extremely satisfied with our decision to hire Green Faith Solutions and have already referred them, without hesitation, to others. Thanks Eric & Phillip!"

"Very professional, extremely prompt, came did the measurements, gave me the quote, once I accepted the job was scheduled one week out. On installation day, he called and told me he could come earlier if I wanted which was great. He completed the job in about 45 minutes, cleaned everything up, and cleaned the window inside and out before leaving. It was a pleasure doing business with him and would use him for any other window issues. I cannot recommend him enough."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is insulation?

What is insulation?
Insulation is material that provides a barrier within a home’s walls, ceilings, and floors to regulate temperature and noise. If your home gets overly hot in the summer and cold in the winter, it’s likely not insulated properly.
Insulation efficiency is measured by R-value, which determines how resistant different types of insulation are to heat flow (or energy loss). R-values are measured by inch of thickness. The higher the R-value, the better the performance and the higher the price.
How much does insulation cost?
+
How much does insulation cost?
Our project data lists insulation costs between $1,400 and $6,300, but your final price will depend on the type of insulation you choose, its R-value, and how much you need.
- Fiberglass insulation: $0.30 – $1.50
- Blown-in insulation: $1 – $2
- Spray foam insulation: $0.50 – $2
- Radiant insulation: $0.20 – $1
- Rigid board insulation: $0.25 – $1
Luckily, insulation is one of the best investments you can make in your home—it has an ROI of at least 100%, meaning you’ll likely make back what you spend in a few years or so.
What is insulation made of?
+
What is insulation made of?
Insulation is made of many different materials, which can also impact the R-value needed for energy efficiency.
- Fiberglass: The most common insulation material made from glass. Fiberglass is a skin and lung irritant, so you’ll need to wear gloves and clothing when working with fiberglass insulation.
- Cellulose: Made from recycled paper products, plus borate for fire and insect resistance.
- Foam: Made from polystyrene, polyisocyanurate, or polyurethane plastic. You can also install cement-based foam insulation using rigid foam boards.
- Mineral wool: Made of fire-resistant rock wool, a mix of natural materials, or slag wool, made from a molten metal product.
- Natural fibers: Made from various recycled natural materials, including cotton, sheep’s wool, and straw.
Where is insulation in a house?
+
Where is insulation in a house?
If your attic is unfinished or you’ve ever demolished an interior wall, you might notice batt or spray foam insulation between the studs. Putting insulation between your walls and floors helps keep your home comfortable and your energy costs down. In addition to walls and attics, you can install insulation in your garage, in floors above vented crawl spaces, and basements.
- Garage Insulation: $0.50 to $1.25 per square foot
- Floor and crawl space insulation: $1 to $5 per square foot
- Basement insulation: $1.50 to $2.50 per square foot
- Wall insulation: $1 to $4 per square foot
- Attic insulation: $1,500 to $6,000
- Roof insulation: $1,500 to $4,500 or more
What are the different types of insulation?
+
What are the different types of insulation?
There are a few types of home insulation, and they all are made of different materials— most commonly, fiberglass, cellulose, and foam. Insulation includes these materials in the following forms:
- Loose-fill: Also called “blown-in,” loose-fill is sprayed into wall cavities, attics, and other oddly-shaped areas using special equipment. This insulation is usually made of fiberglass, cellulose, or mineral wool.
- Batts: An affordable insulation blanket best for unfinished spaces, such as between framing, studs, or joists. They come in pre-cut sections suitable for DIY installation and are mostly made from fiberglass, though other versions are also available.
- Rolls: Similar to batt insulation, but comes in rolls. Its make-up leaves less chance for gaps between sections and is more efficient than other types.
- Foam board: One of the most popular insulation types that can be used almost anywhere in your home. Foam boards also have a high R-value.
- Spray foam: Expands and hardens to fill gaps, small and large. Can be closed-cell or open-cell, but closed-cell has a higher R-value, making it more expensive per square foot.
- Radiant barriers: Does not reduce heat flow but directs heat away from the home instead. Radiant barriers are DIY-friendly and affordable, but they won’t be as effective in the winter months.
