Complex installation. Have previously used them for chandelier hanging etc. Great "home-side" manner

I had two of the BEST electricians and people for this job. Louis and Shawn went above and beyond for this job. They were so friendly, kind and very hard working. They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in their skill. They were very professional and treated my home with respect and care. That is very hard to find these days and I truly appreciate the work they did as, much as their positive and upbeat attitudes. They are an awesome team! Jason responded almost immediately to my message, provided an initial estimate and was able to schedule an appointment within a matter of days. They arrived as promised and installed two new lighting fixtures, one of which was a handblown glass chandelier from Italy. Not only did they perform a rather tricky installation (given that the chandelier did not include a mounting plate), but they also assembled and wired it. I would definitely use them again.

This was our first contact with Kirk Snyder end it couldn’t have gone better. This was not a simple project. Kirk discovered that the previous installation of our dining room antique chandelier had resulted in a burned out socket and associated wiring. It should be noted here that the chandelier hung from an electrical box that’s 15 feet above the floor in a vaulted ceiling. He overcame surprises along the way so that we can now see our food and leave behind the guesswork involved with the darkened (however jokingly romantic) dinners. Our thanks and appreciation overwhelming transfer to his well deserved recommendation for his expertise. Just call him; you won’t be disappointed! Big or small - he does it all!

Jason called to let us know he could come by early. He arrived and promptly went to work removing the old ceiling fan and installing a new chandelier in our dining room. The earlier phone estimate we received from him had been based on my assumption that the ceiling fan had no electrical box. When Jason saw that the fixture did have a box there already, that lowered the price of the install, which was certainly a welcome change. We will definitely go with Hufnagel Electric in the future for any electrical issues!! Thank you!

I left a message for Chris and he returned my call within 10 minutes. We set up an appointment that worked with my schedule. He arrived promptly and was polite. He completed the work without any cleanup needed on my part.

Bob and Steve (I think) were excellent! They showed up on time and were very friendly and polite. They both got right down to business and started with my two kitchen pendant lights. After they had installed one I changed my mind on the height and asked them to adjust it and they very politely did just that. After completing the kitchen they installed the dining room chandelier and adjusted it exactly as my husband and I asked with no complaints at all. Then I asked him to take a look at a chandelier i wanted installed in my bedroom (that I had not previously asked him to help with when we originally spoke). He told me they could install it right then, no problem. Bob is even looking into installing a chandelier in my two story foyer that would require renting scaffolding to install and letting me know pricing. I could not have been any happier with his service!

Bob did a great job figuring out how to hang a handmade chandelier that I purchased on Etsy from a craftsman in Poland. Great job - we are very happy with it.

I was initially impressed with Saw's communication and willingness to complete the job ASAP. This was clearly just a front in order to secure my business. Thereafter, they would not commit to a date and would tell me "maybe next Monday or Tuesday." When I would follow-up, the scheduling would be pushed back. When they eventually came, they installed the ceiling fan and one chandelier. The second they indicated that they couldnt reach because it required scaffolding (despite me previously sending pictures of the area and indicating it was "very high). They represented they would come this week. Thus far, they have not come and have been dodging my text messages--refusing to commit to finishing the job. I would not recommend them moving forward. While I understand electricians are very busy, the lack of communication and commitment is unprofessional and incredibly frustrating.

The installation took an hour and everything went great until I received the bill a couple weeks later. My complaint is not with the service but with the failure to disclose accurately, what to expect with regard to his charges. I specifically asked before deciding to hire him, how much time he estimated for the 2 story install and what the hourly charge was. He said it would take 2 men and he estimated approximately 1 hour at the rate of $125.00 per hour for 2 men. I agreed and hired him. He informed me he would be doing the install on the way home from another job at the end of the day. He was right on time. However, he showed up with 3 men which surprised me but I assumed that was because he was on his way home from another job. He never explained why there were 3 and not 2. Most of the time, the third man was not involved in the install but did assist with minor things that could have been done by one of the other 2 men had he not been present. The install went very well. The men were all very professional and I was very happy with the quality of the work. The total install took almost exactly an hour. When I received the bill, rather than the expected $125.00, I was billed for $230.00!!! I contacted the owner for an explanation. He told me it would have taken 2 hours if he'd only had 2 men, but I disagreed based on the work the 3rd man did. Also, he was charging me for 3 men and an assumption of what may have happened had he only had 2. He knew the extent of the job when he said it would take 2 men approximately 1 hour. He was right. That is what it took, but I was charged almost double for the one hour of service. We could not agree and he said he was done with me and I could just pay him what I felt it was worth and he'd never have to hear from me again. Not a good way to conduct business!!! Nothing I said could convince him that there should have been a compromise based on his original disclosure of payment for services rendered. As a good consumer, I would never cheat anyone so I paid him the full $230.00 since that is the amount he invoiced. I do however, want to warn consumers that he does not comply with what he tells you initially with regard to his charges. You don't charge someone on what "could have been". If you state you will be charging by the hour for 2 people, that is what the consumer should expect. Not a charge for a third person just because they were with him from the previous job. And certainly not based on what he thinks the time might have taken with 2. He was here 1 hour and I expected to be charged for 1 hour for 2 people as he originally stated. I definitely would NOT recommend him unless you don't really care how much he charges you!

The crew was very professional and polite. They did what they said they would and in a timely manner. Couldn't be happier with the service provided.
