A pool of journalists representing 14 African countries will head to Brussels to cover the AU-EU summit from Africa’s perspective


CFI is forming a temporary editorial team consisting of 17 African journalists who are being drafted in to cover the sixth African Union - European Union (AU-EU) summit, which will be held on 17/18 February 2022. A number of media and news professionals from the French media development agency will provide support to this brand-new team of young English-, Arabic- and French-speaking journalists. This project provides African media outlets with access to Africa-centric content that covers the summit.

The European Union (EU) and the French media development agency CFI has launched the Yemen Media Emergency Response (YMER+) project, an integrated initiative that aims to build the capacities of the local media on humanitarian journalism and improve the flow of humanitarian information in Yemen.

December 2018

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State for the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Marc Fonbaustier, Chairman of the Management Board of CFI, signed a contract of objectives for three years (2018-2020) in the presence of Marie-Christine Saragosse, CEO de France Médias Monde.
