Aerial view of the "Condor", one of the geoglyphs of the Nazca Lines, which are located in the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. The geoglyphs of this UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1994) are spread over 80 km (50 mi) on a plateau between the towns of Nazca and Palpa and were, according to some studies, created between 500 B.C. and 500 A.D.
