  Jay and his team of Justin and Antoine did a fabulous job! I have had experiences in the past with other contractors that did not go so well, so I always have a little trepidation when it comes to hiring them. Jay's approach, however, put me at ease. I pointed out the areas that I thought needed repair, and to be extra careful not to damage our patio cover in the back yard (previous painter had damaged it). He was very attentive, and even pointed out a few other areas that I had missed that also needed repair, and assured me that he and his team would take care of things. And if they caused any damage they would take care of it. With that said, I hired them. They arrived to pressure wash the exterior May 28. We have a taller two story house so there was some concern with getting to the uppermost eaves. But Justin was able to make it work with limited side yard space so we didn't have to bother my neighbors for additional ladder space. Three days later they started taping, painting and repairing. They negotiated shrubs, vines, fixtures, wires, etc., all while maintaining a productive, professional, and positive work environment. If there was ever a question, Jay was quick to clarify before proceeding. I appreciated this as it kept me up to speed on their progress as well as instilling in me the confidence that Jay and his team really know what they're doing. After 6-7 days of having them around (along with a few blueberry muffins and brownies that my wife baked), Jay seemed like part of the family. He and his team were always willing to put in the extra effort and care to make sure that the job was done right and to our satisfaction. From dry rot repair and painting to getting the side gate to not stick and a few new light bulbs, Jay was always ready with experience and creative solutions to address any challenge along the way. The house turned out very clean and sharp and looks brand new again... and the patio cover is fine! Would I hire them again? In a heartbeat!   This was a job that was done on time and very professional. They power washed, put on a primer layer then painted the house with two coats. Joshua and his crew are all very well trained and easy to work with. From start to finish everything was done and the yard was cleaner then when they started. Will use him again if any other jobs pop up. Also very friendly guy to work with

  Thank you for the great job that was done by Brooks Painting at my wife and my house. We couldn’t be happier with the product of a total exterior painting. The entire experience was outstanding. • Jeremy helped with color recommendations – and came up with a great color for the base as well as for the trim, eaves, doors etc. • Kristen always kept us informed on scheduling and what to anticipate. • The crew, headed up by Eric with Mike, and Zach did a great job preparing the site and applying the paint. They were at my house promptly for 5 days. Once day to pressure wash and readying the site for application of paint and then Monday through Thursday they did an outstanding job. Great finish and clean-up and you even left me extras if I ever need touch up. As you know I live adjacent to the greenbelt in north Davis, and I have had friends, neighbors and strangers stop by and tell me; “what an improvement” and “nice new colors” as well as “it looks great!” We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and with the finished product.   We had a wonderful experience with Michael (and Brent, and Elmer - the dog) from start to finish! During our first meeting/walk-through of the house, Michael was exceptionally thorough; it was easy to see that integrity and communication are of utmost importance to Michael. He was able to give us a quote very quickly and meet our timeline. Michael also connected us to one of his long-time friends to help with some trim work (dry rot) that needed to be done before we could paint the exterior of the house. He worked with us on color selection and gave fantastic suggestions (and tips!) based on our "coastal" style - including painting the front door a color that would really pop! We selected coral for the front door, and painted the exterior of the home a lovely, beachy teal with off-white trim. We couldn't be happier and after all was said and done, LOVE our home! After a year of outdoor projects, this was by far the best money we could have spent; it made the biggest impact on our home and the neighbors love it. A quick side story to speak to Michael's personality - our son (5 years old) went outside and "accidently" touched the wet paint. He was very embarrassed and ran indoors. Michael made it a point to invite our son back outside where he then taught our little guy how to hold a paint roller. He even let him paint a small section of the home. Our son's face lit up! Michael then taught him a "secret" handshake and made our son an official member of the crew by placing a Dunn Edwards cap on his head.   DK Painting did an excellent job. Dan came out soon after I called and gave me what I thought a fair quote. He could not do the job right away but said he would move up the date if he had an opening. He did as promised and moved the job up. The paint looks great. We have wood siding and they took the extra effort to make our 45 year old home look like new
