"The rep on the phone said dual springs needed to be replaced in pairs and the repair would cost $275. When the tech arrived (Marcos I think), he did try and up sell me to a higher quality set of springs for $375 with the comment the standard springs should last 6-7 years with normal use and the higher quality spring expected to last up to 15-20 years. I opted for the standard springs. He replaced the springs, adjusted the tension and oiled all the joints/rollers (I had already replaced the rollers about a year before). The tech was very friendly and knowledgeable and the repair cost exactly what I was quoted, $275. I would hire them again.

"The Salgado Door installer was very responsive and very accommodating to our schedule. We asked for the work to be done with 3 days notice on a Saturday. He asked for me to send pictures of the job. There was an Angie’s List special for the spring replacements which was applied to the.project cost estimate. That estimate was very fair and beat the price quoted by Home Depot’s installers who were not responsive and were inflexible with their installation date options. The installation went flawlessly and the new spring work great and new garage door openers function very well. The installer also took the time to review the operation of the openers and helped setup the key pads and garage door openers remotes. One keypad can open both doors and each remote can open both doors. In addition the team was very polite and professional and I recommend them without hesitation. This was an A+ job.
