Great! A ceiling was damaged (drywall), but they very quickly had that repaired. Team was on time and finished all of the work very efficiently, leaving the workspace clean.

Lomar Paint helped me to quickly take care of insulation, drywall, and paint work made necessary by water damage. Bismarck (I believe the owner) was very responsive to my inquiry about availability and pricing. He had a professional out to conduct the work that afternoon. When the plumber (not Lomar) unexpectedly needed more time, Bismarck worked with me to reschedule completion of the work for the next day. The work itself is well done and complete.

Brad and his helper were punctual and conducted themselves in a very professional way. They removed their shoes when they entered the house. The process involved removing a circular piece of drywall between each set of studs and then filling the cavity with blown in insulations. After blowing in the insulation Brad braced the back of the opening with a piece of wood then reinstalled the drywall piece in each hole. He was very concerned about properly bracing the drywall piece and having a secure patch. Brad's work did not include the finish drywall repair. We will be hiring a painter to complete the drywall repair and paint the room. After all the drywall pieces were replaced Brad's helper vacuumed the bathroom area and the pathway to the front door to insure that the house was left as they found it. I would highly recommend Northern Virginia Insulators. They were prompt to return my initial call, kept me well informed and had a lot of concern about the quality of their work. I would definitely use them again for any insulation needs we have in the future.

Great! There was some confusion on scheduling but the installers and the office worked thru it all. They did their best with the drywall and plaster dust but it was still messy, remove as much furniture, rugs and stuff as you can. They carefully draped plastic everywhere but the drywall dust was still all over. Everyone was really helpful to work with.

Staff was professional and punctual. The equipment that was utilized was high quality and specifically built to complete the job at hand. A few short delays due to other customers with emergency needs were explained beforehand and had little impact on the overall completion of the job. When everything was completed (in less than a week), there is no visible or hidden evidence that any damage and subsequent repair ever happened. Great job!

JCabido Remoding was great. They were were responsive, provided a reasonable estimate, and did great work. Would highly recommend them for drywall repair.

It went extremely well. The drywall had to be removed the entire length of one wall. JW Home Improvement knocked down the wall, insulated behind the wall/cinderblock backing, sanded, painted and restored to better than new condition -- super fast. The room had a cold draft entering through the wall. Found out when the house was originally built, the builder did not insulate between the cinderblock outside wall and the interior wall. Caused constant coldness in the room. Now that this repair has been done, the room actually can hold heat during the winter and is cool in the summer. I contacted Quality Insulation on March 10, 2016 and spoke with Mr. Dan Roberson. We scheduled the estimate appointment for Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. Dan arrived on time, thoroughly inspected the attic, and gave us the estimate. He was very professional and had a great sense of humor. My husband and I decided to contract with Quality Insulation and scheduled the job to be performed at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17. On that morning, the staff arrived ON TIME, which was very much appreciated! The guys were very courteous and professional, and made sure our floors were protected from any dust and debris from the attic (which was very minimal!). After the job was completed the staff did an excellent clean-up of the work area, even wiping down the attic and hallway floors!! We truly appreciated the GREAT JOB Quality Insulation did with our attic ceiling, and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. Thanks, Dan!! We know this was a nasty job!

Worker expertly replaced insulation and covered hole (we provided materials except bought wrong fill-in compound which JW provided at no cost) and then smoothed patch job so it was perfectly undetectable. We did repainting. All within the allotted.

I purchased a deal with JCabido for drywall work and they did exactly what I asked for - and then some! I had a hole in a laundry room wall which separated a laundry room and a garage. After I purchased the deal from Angie's List, I realized that space would benefit from some insulation so I contacted JCabido, sent them a picture of the area with my idea for insulation and they were on board! I purchased the insulation, had it ready for them in time for the scheduled appointment, and they installed it without any problem! The 2-man crew was professional, did a great job, cleaned up well and completed everything within the alloted time.

Their people were very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They were not pushy, but did follow up and were very accommodating. We really like the spray foam product that they used, since it did not require that we tear down the drywall first ,and they did a great job of patching up the holes in the drywall before they completed the job. We were pleased with their work, so much so, that we are already thinking once we are ready to add insulation to the walls that we will call them back. Needless to say, we would recommend them to others.

I noticed a substantial pool of water leaking through the ceiling of my kitchen. I emailed Home Energy Medics and they got back to me within a few days. Luke came out to do the inspection and give us a entire home energy audit and Action Plan to address a number of issues both related to the specific problem we were having but also a number of other issues that would improve the home in general. I know a lot more about my home now which is well worth the cost of the audit. Scott was the project manager. He and his team came out and found warm moist air coming in from outside the home and into the voids in the walls and condensing around the cold supply and return ducting leading to and from our second floor and running down to the ceiling in the kitchen. The only way to address the issue was to open up the walls in two rooms upstairs and the ceiling in the kitchen and use spray foam to insulate the entire stack. It took a couple of days of work but afterward the drywall looked better than it did before the work. Scott worked really well with our insurance company and provided them pictures and details of the work. This was particularly helpful, as the insurance company didn’t even need to come inspect personally and we received the claim money within a few weeks. We had no more issues with the ducts since and the HVAC system is more efficient. Overall I have no complaints. Great work. I will definitely use them again.

Elkot was nice, however the completed job was mediocre. They did the bare minimum. The workers were messy and did not cover my floors when painting so I had paint stains everywhere. Even after scrubbing some are still there. They reused the insulation, drywall screws, and existing drywall. They reused my years old paint instead of getting fresh paint. They even used my containers to mix the drywall mud. The waffle board was attached to the wall with metallic insulation tape??? Again messy and poor workmanship. Not a happy customer. Very unsure how long this repair job will last.

Max Insulation quoted a price to blow in energy-saving cellulose R40 roof insulation and blow in foam sound-muffling insulation along a basement rowhouse wall in Capitol Hill. Both items were done on schedule, on budget, and on scope. There was a bit of cleanup needed after the roof insulation was done, but Mike had it taken care of. He has a good drywall guy who opens trenches in the roof, then closes them back up in a professional way right after installation. I am calling to inquire about another house insulation project today.

Description of work: a full tear-down of existing insulation; identification and insulation of draft sources that had caused water pipes to freeze; insulation of surrounding walls and gaps; installed heat-reflective finishing over insulation; placed wrap insulation on water pipes; rebuilt drywall. The work, which involved a difficult reinsulation job, was performed very timely and thoroughly. Dan and his people were very responsive and attentive, and the final result appears to fit the bill exactly. Price was very fair.

It went poorly. The estimator did not show a good understanding of what the various insulation techniques are. He recommended removing all the drywall and starting from scratch. This is unneccessary and costly. He push the very limited set of products that Home Depot offers to install. These limited set of products (batting and foil) were not appropriate for this situation. He also refused to use blown insulation behind the drywall. The estimate of $1300 was given for a solution that forced the use of batting in an area that would not have resulted in sufficient insulation.

The project manager responded quickly to our request for an estimate. The workers came days after our approval of the estimate to install new insulation and drywall that were removed previously due to water damage. They also painted the new wall sections after installation. The project manager also looked for matching trims and moldings to replace missing sections that were removed - we really appreciate this effort. We are happy with the result of their work. Our walls look as good as before.

Tom Gailliot, the owner, met with me to review the scope of work. It included patching holes in my drywall that were caused by some electrical repairs done by another company. In addition I needed the patched areas painted. I also had 3 doors to be adjusted that weren't fully closing and I needed additional insulation in my crawl space. Within 3 business days, we agreed on a T&M contract with the thought that the actual work might be less than quoted. We set a date and time for the work to be performed which was a week later. The workmen arrived on time and were careful to minimize disruption during the day. Tom was correct that the estimate was higher than the actual work performed, and the resulting invoice reflected the reduced amount. The quality of work was excellent.
