"Anthony Jr. came out promptly to give an estimate. He was professional and emailed me a written estimate soon after his visit. Work began when I was told it would. But, the two men who did the work were not given any information or drawings pertaining to location or size of the fence or gates. After a phone call to supervisor, they began digging. I shared concerns with the workers about larger openings for gates than I had discussed with Anthony Jr. and also the type of gate they were going to install which did not match the style of a split rail fence. They corrected the type of gate but not the size as posts were already in the ground. The posts appear plumb and the rails level. The gates were all hung so they would swing and be secured (the double gate did require another trip out to add a drop bar to hold one side in place and trimming of the top of the gate posts to make it look more aesthetically pleasing). I called Fencemasters after the fence was installed when I realized that the fence was not as large as the estimate stated. I also shared my concerns about workers not being properly equipped with enough information to perform the job correctly, and instead of leaving some extra brown fencing wire for areas I felt had too much of a gap at the bottom the workers chose to put extra dirt all along the fence line, and finally some posts had a mound of exposed concrete. Fencemasters promptly issued a refund and corrected the problems they could.

"Bob was the only one to bid on a small job I needed done, a 20 foot by 11 foot concrete pad for a carport, all but one other company on Angi's didnt even bother to contact me, (the other company told me it was too small of a job). His crew showed up yesterday to prep and form and came back today for the pour. Bob stopped by yesterday to view everything and introduce himself and followed up with a phone call once the job was completed. Everything turned out great and they cleaned up before leaving. I would not hesitate to use Bob again.

"Bottom Line Up Front: if you need a contractor to pour concrete for patio, garage, etc. look no further. Jim and his crew at Powerhouse were absolutely amazing. I say this as I was (embarrassingly so) that nightmare customer who could not make up his mind and thankfully Jim was right there to calmly lead me thru various solutions for my patio. I needed a patio extension so that can build a gazebo on it next month and he designed options that met all the future project's requirements without breaking the bank. He really knows his business. Jim is not only patient, but trustworthy too. He talked me out of a very expensive approach that I had asked for my patio by explaining that for what I was going to use it for, a less costly option would actually serve me better in the long run. Oh and remember I said I couldn't make up my mind. Well...halfway through the initial phase of the project I changed the dimensions and lay out of the patio twice. Instead of getting frustrated with me (the crazy customer), he said and I quote "no problem my friend, we will make it happen...that is what a good contractor does." In addition, his crew was very professional and respectful, and when they were finished with the job they left the job site pristine. I was very impressed in how Jim mentored these young men. To wrap this up, I was very impressed with the end product as it was very well done and looked incredible. At the end of the day, in spite of my indecision and two crazy change orders midstream, the project was completed on time and on budget. I would recommend Jim and his crew at Powerhouse anytime.

"Excellent . Kevin was very responsive to our call for an estimate, and provided the estimate very quickly. We requested a delay in starting the work which he was able to accomodate. He called a week ahead of the start date to update us and again 2 days before to confirm they were on track . The crew arrived on time both days and completed the work as promised. "We went with Junior because he was more upfront than the other companies we received quotes from. He warned us to not do some things since our home was a new construction and the ground has a lot of settling to do. We appreciated that honesty because most companies we dealt with didn't bring up these concerns, however, when I looked up some of the things Junior told me online sure enough they would have potentially caused us issues/cracks down the road. His crew showed up when they said they would be there and worked hard to get the job done. I had a specific shape in mind, and they were sure to get my approval before moving on. We never had to reach out to Junior he was always the one reaching out to us. Past contractors we've worked with we've had to continuously reach out to follow up on when they'd be there or why they weren't there... never happened with Junior so that in itself went a long way with us! When they were finished they left the jobsite clean no trash or construction debris leftover. We had no doubt they knew what they were doing, and that they'd do a good job. I'd recommend Junior and his crew without hesitation, and will continue to use them for any concrete job we have in the future.
