2023 Global Sport Business Association’s

10th Annual GSBA Conference 

February 16 – February 20, 2023

The conference will be held in the Bahamas aboard Celebrity’s “Summit.” The ship will sail from Miami, FL on Thursday, February 16rd at 4:00PM and returning on Monday, February 20th at 6:00AM. Day 2, Friday, the ship will be at sea; Day 3, Saturday docked in Key West, FL; Day 4, Sunday docked in Nassau, Bahamas.

Interested scholars and practitioners are invited to submit sport business research proposals for consideration as either an oral (20 min) or poster presentation. Submissions will be accepted May 15th  – August 31, 2023. Completed research studies are invited as well as works in progress, to be completed by the conference date. Proposal submissions should be based on original work not previously presented at another conference or under consideration for another conference. Both oral and poster submissions should be in the form of a 300-350 word abstract. The submissions for consideration should be sent to [email protected] as a Word document attachment. 

• Student Poster Session / Research Grant Competition

• Two $500 research grants will be awarded to two PhD students who attend the conference and present their own completed project with a proposal for further research. 

•  Junior Faculty Poster Session / Research Grant Competition

• One $1000 research grant will be awarded to a junior (non-tenured/tenure earning) faculty member who attends the conference and presents their own completed project with a proposal for further research to expand upon their work. 

All conference attendees must register for the conference and book their rooms at the conference website no later than November 15th. Onsite conference registration will not be available.
