A 1 Form Entry Primary School located in Saffron Walden are seeking an experienced SENCO to join them this September on a permanent contract.

This is a popular and successful 2 Form Entry primary school with well-behaved and motivated children. The senior leadership team are supportive and the teaching staff are passionate and enthusiastic.
The successful Primary School SENCO will be experienced and ideally hold the NASENCO Award.
You must be committed to making a positive impact on the overall education of the students with SEN.
Referrals to appropriate agencies and transfer of paperwork for pupils
Managing the logistical aspects of IPP meetings, including inviting parents and liaising with teachers to find appropriate times
Appropriate assessments of pupils identified as having extra need Support in writing EHC plans as appropriate Monitoring of the SEN register as appropriate
The development of intervention materials in collaboration with the Teachers Analysis of data with regard to SEN and more able cohorts
We are looking for someone who:
- Is experienced /qualified/or be willing to train in the role of a Primary SENCO
- Take responsibility for SEN/inclusion provision
- Play a key role in school leadership and management
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to motivate and support staff and pupils
- Be an exemplary teacher
- Have high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour
- Be committed to working in close partnership with parents, governors and the wider community.
You must be able to provide outstanding support, guidance and direction to all staff to meet the needs of all children with special educational needs and barriers to learning.
As this primary schools SENCO, you will be liaising with parents, staff and external providers whilst ensuring the best practice of education is always being delivered.
You will be well supported by the Headteacher and together will work alongside each other to ensure that all needs and barriers are met.
