Recent Review: Jon visited first, inspecting trees and giving expert opinions on preferred methods. There was no charge for that service. Prices were reasonable and the crews were promptly on time. They were polite, professional, efficient and expedient. We recommend this service and will not hesitate to refer them to others or use them again ourselves.

Recent Review: High quality from start to finish. Nick was very responsive and honest up front. He mentioned that when I look at quotes, I should make sure that it included haul away of not only the wood but of the grindings from the stump. Sure enough, the next quote I got had a much higher price and that the mulch would not be taken away, and I would be left to dispose of it. The quote I got was much better than 2 others and was only slightly beat out by one other, but the professionalism won me over. We scheduled a date and time and he completed it as promised. He did the work, cleaned up and hauled everything away, as promised. Could not be happier with the quality of work done!

Recent Review: Contacted Dave at Tampa Stump Grinding on 5/5/2016. Dave said that he was in Lakeland at the time of my call, but he'd have Tom (who lived near my property) call me back and set up a date and time for an estimate. Tom called me back a few minutes later and said that he'd visit my home on 5/6/16 to give me an estimate on grinding the stump. I had had a tree cut down the previous week and called 811 to have underground utilities marked. I mentioned to Tom on the phone that I'd had utilities flagged and the stump was over an area marked with a water line, a gas line and cable lines. The cable lines were my biggest concern since the cable was on top of a couple of tree roots in a couple of areas. 811 flaggers had actually spray painted a couple of the surfaced cable lines orange to point them out. I also knew from previous experience that the cable companies sometimes don't bury their drop lines very deeply (which can result in the homeowner paying for any needed repairs). Tom checked out the situation and agreed to return 5/9/2016 for the grinding. Tom arrived on time and proceeded to carefully grind out all areas of the stump and roots possible without disrupting my cable service. After completing the grinding, Tom used a plow on the front of the grinding machine to level over the area where the stump had been. He then used a blower to clean up my neighbors lawn, my lawn and the sidewalks in the area (which had received a light coat of ground wood from the trunk and roots grinding). The grinding machine itself was pretty neat - remote controlled, which allowed Tom to stand 10 feet or so away from the machine and walk around it to get a good 360 degree view of where grinding was occurring and thus help to keep my cable in tact. Tom did a great job.

Recent Review: I could not be more satisfied. The crew members were professional, polite and thorough. The entire removal process and clean up exceeded my expectations. Great service at a reasonable price--hard to beat. I would hire them again and I recommend them without reservation.

Recent Review: As noted above, I had received quotes from at least 15 tree services, most likely even more than this. I wasn't sold on any one person or company. Some company's had a much lower price, some much higher. I wasn't comfortable with any of them. I spoke with Paul during the quotation process. I was very happy with his level of professionalism. He was knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease. He estimated it could take up to 2 weeks to obtain the permit, but called me within a few days. He was on point, on time, and executing everything exactly as he promised. The tree was massive and so was the stump. This was one heck of a major job, but his crew handled everything without error. They were fast, effective, professional, and they cleaned up after themselves. The entire job took a couple of days. The tree was down completely day one, as promised. The stump grinding started the following day and was completed within a full day. Everything was hauled away. I was always kept in the loop with an open line of communication. I really appreciate the job they did for me. I have another tree that needs trimming and I will absolutely be giving Paul a call. I would recommend him to anybody needing this type of service. This industry can be really scary. Trusting people to complete the job correctly or even show up in general, is tough. His level of professionalism is what sold me and the fact that his crew was equally as professional made this a complete no-brainer.

Recent Review: Was on time when we called them for a bid thru a friends referral.They are certified arborist and thats why we choose them over another tree service that was $75 cheaper. They gave us options to remove the stump or cut it back to ground level. Performed job as quoted. Impressed how well they cleaned the area up when finished. We will call them for future jobs and recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Recent Review: Proper Cut Tree Care trimmed 22 trees in our yard and demossed four giant Oak Trees. They were prompt, friendly and worked efficiently. They cleaned up everything very nicely and took away all of the debris. Their price was very reasonable for all of the work that they did. They were very knowledgeable and professional.

Recent Review: Stutzman Brothers did a great job. We absolutely would rehire again. The trees that were removed were by power lines and fencing. We had no damage to fencing or the power lines. We hired them at the end of July and the job was challenging and added on top of that with all the rain. Their bid was lower than other tree companies that came out too.

Recent Review: I was referred to this company by another one on Angie's List. I called this morning and Lee was out by 1 PM to look at the stump and offer a price for removal. He was done within the hour and it looks great. I should mention that the stump had a metal stake in it that another company had said couldn't be taken care of below the grass level, but Lee managed to get it a few inches underground and all the runners are gone too. I can now easily plant new sod over the eyesore where the stump was. If I had any more trees on my property, I wouldn't hesitate to call A-1 again.

Recent Review: Great experience. Mike is very professional and customer-oriented. He gave me a fair price and the work was completed quickly and satisfactorily. He even texted me pictures of the job while he was finishing up (since I was at work and unable to inspect it myself) to make sure that everything was to my liking before he left. I would not hesitate to hire Mike again and would recommend his service to anyone needing tree work done.
