Recent Review: Roof leak. Great. What else can I feel besides that sense of doom every time I hear thunder approaching. Researched a few companies and had three separate contractors come out and give me estimates for a minor roof leak repair. As a new homeowner I quickly developed a thick skin against unneeded or highly overpriced repair shenanigans from home improvement professionals. Every one of these three estimates caused the alarms to go off in my head. Thankfully, I decided to wait for the Roofing Company to provide a final estimate based on their reviews. I made the right decision. Chris came out, inspected the problem area and explained to me what needed to be done to fix it. He was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the logistics down. It turns out this was a super easy fix that I missed when I was trying to figure out the problem. Easy enough that I could do it myself and save a bunch of money. Who doesn't appreciate honesty and saving a bunch of money? My advice to anyone reading this and considering this company... call them now. If it wasn't for Chris I'd be out of pocket for a simple repair I could have done. Chris - Thank you so much! Recent Review: After reviewing and interviewing several roofing companies, 1st choice and Ken were the only company that gave explicit information on my options and the different materials etc. They quoted me a very fair price, they were timely and efficient on putting on my new roof, Their crew was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job cleaning up their work and went above and beyond to clean other areas I had that needed it as well. I love their warranty and I would highly recommend them!

Recent Review: This is a family owned business. Mr. Johnson is very nice to deal with. However, he is a roofing contractor, not a general contractor, and cannot sign off on the homeowner's insurance form that can get you insurance discounts on your roof. You would have to have an inspector come and document those, which is an extra cost. Also, since our roof has no crawl space, we can't have ours documented 'after the fact.' We didn't realized this at the time. Also, when I thought we might be having a roof leak (we don't, it is a vent pipe), I had a couple of other roofers come out. They found a couple of things that they would have done differently, including getting better replacement skylights that would be tinted, but on the whole they felt it was a good job. In all these rains, all the roof sections Mr. Johnson put on over our main house, and porches, have been water tight, and we are very pleased. He is very honest, and finishes the job in a timely manner, and is clear about what the costs are. He also stands behind his work. He and his wife are both helpful and responsive.

Recent Review: Repairman arrived as scheduled and was very friendly and professional. After a short discussion, he proceeded to the roof and had located the leak in just a couple of minutes. I had a quote for repair in about 5 minutes, and it was repaired within a half-hour. After my experience today, I will call them first if I ever need any roof work done.

Recent Review: The Sarasota area had been experiencing periods of very heavy rain for several days. We noticed a few drops of water on the stairs during one of the rain storms. We were hoping it was just wind driven rain entering through a roof vent. But during another rain we noticed a few more drops entering through the ceiling. It was a Saturday. We never had any problems with roof leaks before. We called about a dozen roofing contractors and left messages with each one. Most of the contractors called back on Monday and were very courteous. Unfortunately due to the heavy rains, most of the contractors were very backed up and were scheduling work as far out as 2-3 weeks. Suncastle Roofing was the first contractor to call back. Tom Lautner was out the same day to inspect the roof. He quickly identified the area of the leak. The work was scheduled the following day. Tom and Steve (the installer) were out at 7:30 am the next morning to do the work. They performed the repair and were done before noon. Tom, Steve and the other people I spoke with on the phone were extremely professional and responsive. I would absolutely use Suncastle again and unresistingly recommend them to any other homeowner.

Recent Review: I had a tile roof that was showing its age, Bayside was one of 11 contractors I received an estimate from. I could not be happier. I wanted to go with an architectural shingle instead replacing with tile. Estimates were all over the place as far as cost. I knew what I wanted and told each contractor what I wanted , Bayside went over everything with me and had one of the best prices, some contractors wanted 3-5K more and one wanted 9K more. Financing was simple and the rate was very good through a third party finance company. I was impressed with the professionalism of Patrick and the company as a whole. They started shortly after the contract was signed, permits were pulled , materials were delivered and crews were here first thing in the morning to start the tear off of my tile roof. My roof looks outstanding now, the lines are razor sharp, ridge vents were added to keep attic temps down. Underlayment was peel and stick so I will have an insurance discount now. I also had extra insulation blown in while they had the roof off. It was great having the high degree of workmanship done on my house by Bayside. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing roof work done.

Recent Review: My wife and I are from Massachusetts and just recently purchased a home in Florida as a vacation/retirement home and are in the process of having it remodeled. The home is 2095 sq. feet that includes the garage. The big problem is that we are doing most of this from Massachusetts which makes it even more difficult. Originally we contacted Bayside Roofing to fix a leak that we had on the roof that was allowing water to get into our bathroom. At that time we dealt with the owner Patrick who was very professional and responsive. He gave us what we felt was a fare quote for the repair and talked to us about the condition of the whole roof and had indicated that we probably only had about a year left on the life of the roof. This didn?t come as a surprise to us as the same thing was reported in our home survey earlier this year when we bought the house. At the time we had decided to just repair that area and were talking with Bayside about scheduling that work, when our contractor brought two additional areas of possible roof leaks to our attention. At this point, we called Bayside back talked with Lori in the office who indicated that Patrick was on vacation, but told us she would get some right out to take a look at the two other areas. Later that day we got a call from Jeff who gave us a price for the additional repairs and once again talked to us about the condition of the roof. It was at this point when we decided to get a quote to replace the whole roof. We also contacted two additional roofers to get comparison quotes. Bayside wasn?t the cheapest or the most expensive, but they were the only ones that gave us two options, ?Good? and ?Better?. Plus they took the time to explain the options, the pros and cons of each and the different materials that were used in each. They went into detail on what they would be doing and outlined what was included in the price and they talked to us about the fact that once they got the roof stripped and if they found any additional problems that the price my go up. In our minds, they prepared us for what to expect out of the project. One of the other requests that we had was that they could schedule the work for when we were going to be down they next, which was in a week and half, because I wanted to be there while they were doing the work. They understood and were able to get us scheduled around our time frame. Needless to say, we went with Bayside, but the fun didn?t stop once we signed the work order and sent them our deposit. Again you need to remember that we are doing all of this from Massachusetts which makes everything a little harder. When it came time to pick our shingles and colors, Bayside gave us options and worked with us to determine what we wanted. As a matter of fact, Jeff spent a good hour or more with us on the phone talking about the different colors choices and there pros and cons and even sent us pictures of different colors so we got a good idea of what they really looked like, the ones on the internet did not do the colors any justice! The original schedule was for work to begin on a Thursday, but when the day came and no one showed up we started to get nervous, but we then got a call from Lori in the office to tell us that their team got tied up on a job the previous day and wouldn?t be out until Friday which was fine with us. The team showed up Friday morning and got right to work stripping the roof and fixing any problems. They were very good and made short work of the project and did everything they said they would. That included making sure that they cleaned up after they finished each day and leaving the house and property the way they found it. Once they were finished, and we got the final bill, we noticed that even though they had originally priced out 4 sheets of plywood, they only used 1 and took the other 3 off of the bill. To be honest, I would have never known if they had or had not used all of the plywood and think that it speaks to their honesty and fairness to their customers. All in all, we were very satisfied with every aspect of dealing with Bayside, Patrick, Lee and Lori where great to work with and we would recommend them to anyone who asks.

They even returned to our home several weeks after the roof leaks were repaired to check for wood rot and to make sure there were no additional leaks!! I am a very picky customer, but I would give Superior Roofing an A for their service.
