Celebrating 30 Years
Since its inception in 1991, AMU has helped military personnel earn their degrees, and the University has become an innovator and leader in providing quality online education. Today, the university system is one of the largest providers of online higher education – offering more than 200 academic programs to students enrolled worldwide.
In the News
American Public University System (APUS) is proud to celebrate over 14,000 graduates at its 26th annual commencement taking place June 17 –18 at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD. The ceremony marks the first in-person graduation since 2019, due to COVID-19.
American Public University System (APUS) will exhibit at the 2022 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference & Expo on June 12-15. APUS will be in Booth 2042 at the event in New Orleans.
American Public University System (APUS) is proud to celebrate Armed Forces Day on May 21 to honor all of the men and women—including current students and alumni—who are serving across military branches, as well as all those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
American Public University System (APUS) announced that Dr. Wade T. Dyke will be leaving APUS as President to pursue a new endeavor and that Dr. Katherine Zatz, the former Chairwoman of the APUS Board of Trustees, has been appointed Acting President, effective November 4, 2021. A nationwide search for a permanent replacement is being launched.
