Is aware there's a loophole called Footnote 563 that's giving more power to Wall Street and contributing to inflation? This should be much bigger news but if you google anything about it, the only coverage comes from TYT. Close the loophole! tyt.com/stories/4vZLCH
Headline from an article at TYT by Jonathan Larsen:

Democrats Eye Wall Street Rule to Fight Inflation
Excerpt from an article at TYT by Jonathan Larsen:

A handful of congressional Democrats are turning their attention to an arcane loophole that TYT previously reported is driving high prices for gas and food. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) told TYT that he wants the Biden administration to close the loophole, which lets Wall Street speculators gamble on commodity prices, driving inflation.

The Biden administration could bring down gas prices as much as 25% just by acknowledging the problem, a former Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) official said last week. Michael Greenberger, the CFTC's former director of trading and markets, gave a virtual talk hosted by Americans for Financial Reform (AFR), during which other organizations indicated they're launching new efforts to close the loophole.

Reminding my white friends that Arya is a common name among Hindus and Muslims that predates HBO and Game of Thrones by thousands of years so it's really not a big deal if your kid's classmates aren't all named Jessica, Mike, Amanda, and Ryan.

Lauren Boebert is against background checks because her perv husband likes to expose his genitals to minors and she represents his interests, not ours. Every GOP senator should be asked in a simple yes or no question if they think pedos like Boebert's husband deserve firearms.

Excerpt from an article on Queerty.com:

People keep reminding Lauren Boebert about that time her husband exposed himself to a teen girl

Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado just got a crash course in why you shouldn’t insinuate that your political opponents are perverts and pedophiles when your own husband reportedly once pled guilty to exposing himself to a minor.

The People Over Pentagon Act of 2022 would reduce America's defense budget for the next fiscal year by $100 billion and put it towards prioritizing the people. America spends more on defense than the next 9 countries combined. This should be a hot button issue for midterms.

Reps. Lee and Pocan Introduce Bill to Cut Defense Spending by $100 Billion and Prioritize People Over the Pentagon

June 13, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, Defense Spending Reduction Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Barbara Lee and Mark Pocan introduced legislation to cut $100 billion from the Defense budget and reallocate the funds to prioritize people over the Pentagon.
Excerpt from a post on Rep. Barbara Lee's website:

“For far too long, this country has put profits ahead of its people. Nowhere is that more apparent than in our Pentagon topline budget,” said Congresswoman Lee. “Just last year, key priorities like Build Back Better were left on the negotiating table, while Congress approved a $782 billion defense budget—higher than the military even requested. Meanwhile, our constituents continue to struggle with the cost of living and barriers to basic needs like housing and health care. It is time that we realign our priorities to reflect the urgent needs of communities across this country that are healing from a pandemic, ongoing economic insecurity, and an international energy crisis—none of which will be resolved through greater military spending. Taking this step to downsize our military budget by $100 billion will ensure that our national security truly centers on the American people, not weapons industry profits.”
Excerpt from a post on Rep. Barbara Lee's website:

“The Lee-Pocan bill disproves the claim that there’s not money to feed the hungry, care for the sick, cut child poverty or protect the planet,” said Robert Weissman, President of Public Citizen. “With U.S. military spending totaling more than China and the next 8 biggest military spenders combined, the Lee-Pocan bill will reclaim $100 billion in Pentagon spending and free it to be reallocated to domestic and human needs priorities. Thank you, Reps. Lee and Pocan. This is how we advance our true national security interests.”

I've known that drag queens are a cultural phenomenon in America since I was a little kid and this fact has never changed me in any way or forced me to pay attention but I've never been more interested in attending drag events until I found out the Proud Boys were harassing them.

Proud Boys in Arlington, Texas show up to a Pride event to hurl slurs and provoke the attendees. Inbred scumbags harassing people for being themselves is one of the reasons why the Pride movement exists.

Both Bill Barr and Bill Stepien confirm that Trump knew there'd be a "red mirage" on Election Night because of the way the votes were counted, which would make it appear he had a lead when he really didn't, so he took that information and exploited it to announce a false victory.

Google agreed to pay $118 million to 15,000+ employees in a settlement for paying women less than men for the same work since 2013. Their penalty is a few hours of revenue without any admission of wrongdoing. Not bad for a decade of misogyny. Corporate fines are a joke.
