Prince William, the Lazy Prince.
The royals and their fans like to claim the royal family is busy. To help bolster this image they talk about how many engagements they do each year.
Some members of the crowd can be heard booing as King Charles and the Queen Consort arrive at Cardiff Castle.

"While we struggle to heat our homes, we have to pay for your parade."
During his visit to Cardiff today, King Charles was heckled over taxpayers' money.

The accession is a political act. The mourning period is a time where people & media are shamed out of discussing the overtly political nature of accession.
If protesting about accession should wait until after the mourning period, then the actual accession should too.
I am so bored with people saying now is not the time and place for dissent to be heard. That’s cancel culture writ large, and a denial of the democratic right to free speech.
Which he won’t do. The monarch is expected to head the Protestant church and the law explicitly bans Catholics from the throne. And the monarch is largely pointless. #NotMyKing
The Sovereign "has a duty to protect the diversity of our country", the King told faith leaders today, saying he thinks of Britain as a "community of communities". Via Times Religious Affairs correspondent @kayaburgesshttps://twitter.com/kayaburgess/status/1570823389065121792…
‘People tell us that now is not the time to discuss this issue, however, when the monarchy passes from the incumbent to a new King, now is exactly the time to discuss this matter.'
‘It is about fairness, equality, and the Wales we want to shape for future generations.'
'Not my King!' 'We are not your subjects!' 'Real Democracy Now!'
These are the messages ringing out from the streets of Cardiff today as hundreds gather to protest the visit of King Charles.

The First Minister of Wales @PrifWeinidog has had a conversation with the new Prince of Wales about his new role.
William’s investiture should not be as grand as Charles’ in 1969, he says, and William says he wants to work out how best he can contribute to Wales
The queue jumping of the Elizabeth line by the elite is a disgrace.
Why does every MP (and their four mates), not to mention Holly and Phil, think they're better than the rest of us?
Unlike Susanna Reid who lined up for seven hours with her mum.
I'd love to see one MP do the same
❓Did you know❓The disgraced Prince Andrew - who can step in for King Charles - is president & patron of a UK establishment group funded by arms companies and the Foreign Office which is courting a regime mired in human rights abuses.
We've been picking up lots of donations, hundreds of shop orders and thousands of new supporters this week. Lots more to do. You can help by donating to the Succession Appeal at https://republic.org.uk/successionappeal…
We have one of the worst constitutions in the democratic world. Most parliamentarians unelected, hereditary head of state and peers, power centralised in number 10. #NotMyKing
Here's my @Telegraph column today about the historic partnership between monarchy and Parliament.
"Our ancient constitution still lives – and thrives".

Anyone from outside the UK watching @BBCNews would be forgiven for thinking we are all distraught and standing in a queue along the Thames. Absolutely no mention of any other viewpoint. Even the North Korean newsreader would be embarrassed to present #MournHub#CoffinWatch

King Charles was Prince of Wales for over 50 years, but his relationship with the country is not without controversy.
His decision to declare his son William as Prince of Wales has led to a petition calling for an end to the title.
With an elevated title rumoured to be on the horizon and an unrivalled work ethic, no-nonsense Princess Anne has become more important to the Royal Family than ever before.

Charles will not cool on climate action, say friends
He now has more power and influence and he must use it to urge action to save natural world
Time for political niceties and traditional neutrality is long gone

get things wrong about royal funding. The main thrust of this is correct, although it’s worth pointing out that the Brand Finance report and Forbes articles are not reliable sources. But CE does not fund the royals and royals don’t own the Duchies.
Estimates for the wealth of the Royal Family often do not just include physical assets owned by them, but also factor in the intangible value of the monarchy to things like UK tourism.

I care about the cost of 'this' because I care about inequality. 'This' expense is met by people like me & I want my tax money to go into needy hands. I don't want to keep paying for the rich to get richer. The new king has skipped inheritance tax, get him to pay.
“The only challenge with us moving to a republic is that I can’t, as much as I would wish to do it, I cannot do it without your consent. I will have to have a referendum and the Bahamian people will have to say to me, ‘yes’.” #Bahamas
