Veteran Workbook

The MOVE! Weight Management Program uses a 16-module MOVE! Veteran Workbook that guides participants through learning and activities to support healthy lifestyle changes. The Workbook also contains three mini-modules with additional information. The Workbook material is available in several formats that are explained below.

Orientation Handout

The Orientation Handout helps Veterans consider what is important in their lives and how their health affects it. It introduces the MOVE! Program and allows Veterans to decide whether now is the right time to work on weight management and if so, how they would like to participate in MOVE!. Once downloaded, you may type in the blank spaces or you may print to hand-write notes.

Starter Packet

The Starter Packet contains some of the content from Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the full MOVE! Veteran Workbook. The Starter Packet provides the foundational tools for the MOVE! Weight Management Program. You may download the Starter Packet to your personal computer or tablet. Once downloaded, you may type in the blank spaces or you may print the Starter Packet to hand-write notes. English and Spanish versions available.

The MOVE! Veteran Workbook file is a large 245-page document that includes all 16 modules and three mini-modules. The full MOVE! Veteran Workbook is not available in a fillable format at this time. English and Spanish versions available.

Mini Modules

Veteran Food and Physical Activity Log

The Veteran Food and Physical Activity Log is an 8-week logbook that helps participants become expert trackers. Participants start by listing all food, drinks, and activities they complete each day. Then they incorporate one new tracking detail each week. You may download the log to your personal computer or tablet to type in the blank spaces or you may print them to hand-write notes.

Once the initial 8-week log is complete, you can download a new 1-week log to continue tracking each week.
