Poster for the première of Claude Debussy and Maurice Maeterlinck's Pelléas et Mélisande at the Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique on 30 April 1902. A landmark in 20th-century music, it tells the story of a love triangle between Mélisande, her husband Goloud and his brother Pelléas, neither of which ever really know or understand her.
