Through the #challengehateonline campaign around 18 June, APC aims to spark discussions on the impacts and consequences of online hate speech on vulnerable communities as well as highlight stories of resistance from across the global South.
At the conference that will gather policy makers and regulators from around the world, APC will highlight the importance of policy, regulation and financial support to community networks and other community-based connectivity initiatives.
APC's participation at RightsCon will focus on due diligence, environmental and human rights impact assessments in the tech sector, integration of gender perspectives into cyber policies, contributing to the Global Digital Compact process and financing mechanisms for community-owned networks.
