Editorial Work Experience
Our 2022 Editorial Work Experience has been put on hold until further notice.
We apologise for the disappointment that we know this will cause, but we're hoping to resume our offering in 2023.
How it works
Every year we offer aspiring journalists the opportunity to experience life in selected Guardian and Observer Editorial departments.
Placements differ but activities may include shadowing a journalist, taking part in different editorial activities, asking lots of questions and gaining invaluable insights for your future in journalism.
Our work experience placements usually last one to two weeks, dates vary according to each department but will generally fall between March-June and October-December. The Guardian Work Experience schemes are unpaid and voluntary.
