🗄 Spaces have arrived in HTTPie! Spaces (short for workspaces) are containers for your projects. Each space has its own library, collections, saved requests, drafts, open tabs, and—soon—variables. Create as many as you need!

Last December, we also lost all our GitHub Stars on the Qovery Engine the same way 😕 Take a look at what happened to HTTPie and be aware that it can happen to anyone 😦

Few days ago, I made my repo "jd-shopper" private, and I lost 1.7k stars. GitHub customer told me there is no-way to recover the stars. This has discouraged me from working on open source projects in recent weeks🤣 Sad story...😂

Full post-mortem soon but for comparison, this is how they handled the same situation when their own team accidentally made desktop/desktop private:

⚠️ Please note that we accidentally made our repo private for a sec and deleted all our watchers and stargazers. Since they won’t restore it from backup for us, there’s no GitHub notification going to downstream maintainers about this security fix.
