Connected Health is the branch of the Defense Health Agency responsible for reviewing, evaluating, coordinating, and integrating the use and development of health technology supporting Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries. These technologies include telehealth, mobile apps, mobile web, virtual reality, augmented reality, and wearable devices.
Our Mission
Coordinate across the Military Health System to improve health and readiness through technology.
Our Vision
Connection and choice in military health care.
The programs and products developed by Connected Health align with the MHS Quadruple Aim to ensure readiness, population health, experience of care, and responsible management of the total cost of health care. Connected Health also supports the DOD’s goals of increasing access to care, establishing best practices and quality standards for health technology and virtual health, and reducing both military suicide rates and the prevalence of stigma associated with seeking health care services.
