    The Navy says sailors have several good options as they're kicked out of the barracks. Two sailors told me...not really. ...and what about the guys who arrive to base next?

    I intend to be buried at sea not out of passion for the ocean or the Navy, but solely to tie up a ship’s schedule and cause churn for the XO and TRAINO in particular. (As a DIVO, I got stuck with cremains in my stateroom and the BAS ceremony was out of Big Lebowski).

    The has announced that a sailor assigned to "an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit" died following a helicopter landing on Monday. reported that on May 5 an aircraft experienced a hard landing, three people were reportedly sent to the hospital.

    It’s amazing how much of political decision-making is about messaging one set of policy choices because politicians know they have the cover to do so given realities on the ground. Johnson sort of saying the quiet part out loud here:

    I worked for a GO who was dual military. He told stories about meetings with senior officers and having to explain to them what it was like for people living off post--commute times, costs, etc. Decision-makers hadn't lived off post in years, sometimes >decade.

    This also serves as a reminder why clean and safe privatized housing is so critical — the “they can just live off-post!” argument isn’t only disingenuous but impractical.

    Not to be pedantic in both Ukrainian AND gun-terms but "patron" means cartridge, not ammo. There is a meaningful difference between the two terms.

    I am convinced the Admiral Makarov footage was created in Arma 3. I did this in about 10 minutes in the editor. With a bit more time and video editing, it should be possible to make a video identical to the one being shared.
