teamLab Inc. (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) shall establish a framework to protect personal information, personal identity numbers, and specified personal data (collectively, “Personal Data”) and shall promote the protection of information related to personal data as set forth below.

The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and any other relevant laws and guidelines in relation to the Act. In addition, the Company shall develop this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) and “teamLab’s Regulations on the Protection of Personal Data” (the “Company’s Regulations”) and shall ensure such implementation of the Privacy Policy and the Company’s Regulations.
2. Purpose of use
The Company shall acquire Personal Data through appropriate methods and shall use such information according to the purpose as set out below.

- to undertake the Company’s solutions business in order to ship, contact/report, and provide after sales services of products;
- to undertake the Company’s digital art business in order to ship, contact/report, and provide after sales services of products;
- to undertake the Company’s software development business in order to ship, contact/report, and provide relevant after sales services of products;
- to recruit and manage human resources after an employee is hired;
- to use for marketing-related activities; and
- to manage any queries, consultations and complaints.

The Company implements relevant supervision including ensuring that its employees are trained with its internal rules and regulations in order to prevent any divulgence, among others, or inappropriate use of personal data by its employees.
Physical security management measures:
The Company implements relevant physical protection measures to manage its facilities, monitors access to facilities and/or rooms, and maintains surveillance, among others, of the keys that provides access to the foregoing facilities and/or rooms in order to prevent any divulgence, etc. of personal data.
6. Queries on disclosures, among others, and complaints on retained personal data
If you wish to make a complaint or request disclosure of your personal data, among others (a notice for purpose of use, disclosure (including disclosure of records provided to third parties), make corrections, add/delete, or suspend use of such data, etc.) by virtue of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, please contact us at the address listed in the “8. 7. Continuous improvement of the personal data protection system
The Company intends to regularly carry out audits for the Company’s system to protect personal data. In addition, the Company shall have a comprehensive understanding of the changes in respect to the Company’s business operations, social conditions, advances in information technologies, among other things. The Company is further committed to reviewing and improving its system on protecting Personal Data including this Privacy Policy and the Company’s Regulations from time to time.

Protection of personal data relating to recruitment activities
During the recruitment process, the teamLab group companies (the “Group Companies”) shall treat the applicants’ personal data strictly confidential and shall be handled as follows.
1. Definition of the Group Companies
The Group Companies means each of the following companies.

2. Personal data to be acquired (some may not be applicable depending on the status of application)
- Name, date of birth, address, contact address (phone number and email address)
- Education, experience, academic records, achievements in production (portfolio., etc. )
- Survey at information session
- Information relating to selection and evaluation on online such as online test and examination and information relating to selection and evaluation such as assignment for selection
- Other information of the applicants acquired through selection process and the results of selection

3. Purposes of use
The Group Companies shall use “2. Personal data to be acquired” for the purposes of providing the applicants with employment information (including targeting advertisement by third party distribution providers), employment selection, confirming the history of application, providing to third-party distribution providers prescribed in 6., targeting advertisement for users who are similar to the applicants and other business associated with recruitment activities. In case an applicant has joined the Group, the Group shall continue to use “2. Personal data to be acquired” for the employment management.

Information of an applicant submitted to the Group Companies shall be shared with and among the each of the Group Companies as set forth below to the extent necessary to achieve the “3. Purpose of use”. The person responsible for the management of personal data within the Group Companies is teamLab, Inc. The Group Companies shall not disclose or provide personal data to any third party without obtaining consent from the individual concerned unless otherwise required by law or the Group Companies entrusts third party distribution providers (Google LLC, Twitter, Inc., TikTok Pte. Ltd., LINE Corporation, Yahoo Japan Corporation, Meta Platforms, Inc., and LinkedIn Corporation) with distribution of advertisement for the Group Companies. Of the third party distribution providers, Google LLC, Twitter, Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc. and LinkedIn Corporation are located in the state of California, USA. 6. Distribution of job advertisements by third party distribution providers
Job Advertisements of the Group Companies are posted on various websites by third party distribution providers. Third party distribution providers distribute job advertisements by using identification information such as a cookie, among others, and personal data acquired in “2. Personal data to be acquired”. Additionally, the Group Companies may match personal data retained by the Group Companies and personal data held by a third party service provider after converting such data to make it impossible to identify an individual concerned and may distribute job advertisements based on the result of the matching process. Third party service providers shall not use such data for any purpose other than for distribution of job advertisements.

7. Voluntary provision of personal data
The provision of personal data to the Group Companies is voluntary. However, please note that if personal data is not provided, there is a possibility for causing inconvenience to administrative processes in relation to recruitment activity.
8. Destruction of personal data
The Group Companies shall not return any application documents. In the event an applicant is not hired, the Group Companies shall retain personal data and application documents collected for a certain period of time and dispose of them in an appropriate manner.
9. Proceedings for disclosure, revision or suspension of use of personal data
In the event an applicant requests disclosure, revision or suspension of the use of personal data, the Group Companies will handle it in accordance with the legislation. If you request disclosure (including disclosure of records of Provision of personal data to third party), revision or suspension of use of personal data, please contact the recruitment staff of the Group Companies stated in “11. Contact us”. However, please note that information relating to evaluation of the Group Companies such as the information regarding hiring process and the results of a successful or unsuccessful application is not subject to disclosure, amendment or suspension of use.
