I was not here but my husband reported, they cleaned up all the cuttings and chopped them and took them away.We have had this done every year -they recommended not cutting as severely and doing it every two years. They seemed to know what they were doing.I would recommend them highly and will use them again for similar projects. We are seniors with various infirmities and need more services than previously. We also have a neighborhood bulletin board on line pipeline and I am amazed at the response from neighbors I don't know who have offered to do all kinds of jobs for us..

Overall I really liked using Richards and I would use them again. They returned my calls unlike a few places I called and could get the job done for 1/2 of the other quote. It was a tough job with trees in difficult locations. However I did learn that when getting a quote you need to be very specific. Where will the chopped bits go? How big will you chop them. (they can measure your fireplace or stove to make the rounds fit) also where exactly will you leave them? I didn't specify these and I wish I had known to ask ahead of time. If you need tree work done, especially in tough locations, they will get the job done, just ask all the seemingly dumb questions.

They were very good and very helpful. They have enough knowledge about the trees and how they are coming along so we were quite happy with them. They were prompt and the main guy who came to do the evaluation was very knowledgeable so that made me feel good about the service and then the people who came to take care of the job, there was quite a lot of trees that needed some treatment and cutting back and they did a good job and cleaned up well so I was happy. It was very good. The only negative is that it was expensive but at the same time, I felt that we were getting it for a long term as oppose to just chopping stuff down and looking fine for now. They were there when they said they were going to be there.

I obtained multiple bids from other providers. Sam's was the lowest. He was very professional over the phone and on site. The team came on time. I was surprised that a team of four (4) people showed up. I figured this was a one or two person job. (Was I wrong!) It was clear that each person had his own role and that you needed four people to do this job efficiently. One person was the cutter. He'd tie himself to the top of the tree to secure himself. He had a small motorized saw. He cut piece by piece, working from the top down. Two other people were in charge of bringing the cut pieces to the truck. One other person was in charge of shredding the tree at the truck. I live in a townhouse. I have a tiny patio, and I was nervous that cutting a tree in this small space could damage the fence, roof, windows, or siding. However, Sam's team was able to strategically get the tree down in under 45 minutes. No damages. No problems. They cleaned up the mess, and I was tree free! I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone who needs the job done.

Three workers arrived at planned time , did a professional job and piled all the clippings neatly at the curb where they were picked up by the garbage company. Original estimate included a neighbors tree that was hanging over our property but the neighbor chopped the tree severely the day before so that was subtracted from the bill.

We love the fact that they give an assessment of the overall health of the trees and advise ways of getting more years out of trees that are nearer the ends of their natural lives. Anybody can chop down trees, not that many services will give you advise that actually decreases the amount of work they do.

Worked with Ian, who was very responsive right from the quote to the finishing of the work. There were two people who worked on the first day for the first two big trees. Then there were five more people who worked on the trees the following day, So overall they probably spent about 30-35 man hours. The work was done very courteously and there was no damage done apart from some small shrubs being squished under the big branches. They were open about the whole process and seemed to be very knowledgeable about most of the trees on my property. They have worked on a bunch of other houses on my street and I have heard good things about them.

The folks from Johnson's came on very short notice (less than 24 hours) and cleared our yard of debris and removed the stump. Original call was at 4:30pm on a Tuesday, estimate was given at 11am Wednesday, stump-grinding at 1pm Weds., and brush removal occurred from 5-6:30pm Weds. Lightning fast! Our yard was left very clean and we have no complaints at all.

I called for an appointment on Friday, the following Monday was available. They arrived on time and cut down both trees without incident. The agreement was to cut the large branches into firewood, and wood-chip the rest. My only complaint is that a few large chunks of the trunk should have been cut further, so as to fit into a fireplace. It was four years since the last pruning of my birches, so I called Bartlett to take care of it within certain parameters. Sean came out and looked over the situation in order to give me an estimate. One of the birches showed signs of weakening because of root girdling so Sean suggested a root invigoration. After he explained it to me, I agreed that it would be worthwhile. I asked that a chopping of my olive tree at the same time would be a good idea. After I agreed to the estimate, a date was set. The crew came out to do the pruning. Great job---the birches were pruned so that they would be a compact cluster and not so tall and the olive tree that I just wanted chopped short looks good. Gino came out to do the root invigoration. It involved much more than I thought it would. And he was so good in that he was not bothered by my asking so many questions. He even gave me a packet of information about the work.

Everything turned out just great. These people were very nice to deal with and everything. I really do not have any complaints at all. They seemed professional and they new what they were doing.

I had several neighbor trees whose limbs hung into my year dropping leaves, apples and berries. The owners would trim their side but now the side that drapes into my yard. I also have a fruitless mulberry tree that requires a yearly trimming. The yard looked so clean and open once the trees were chopped off. There was quite a load of branches that were cleared and they even cleaned up any that dropped into their yard. It was amazing transformation and I will continue to do business with them.

This was the best experience I have ever had with a tree service. For starters, James Cox made an appointment to give me an estimate and he arrived punctually, just as he did when he came to perform the actual work. Unlike other tree services, the owner came to give the estimate and then came with a helper to perform and supervise the work, so there was no gap between what I wanted done and what actually was. A large tarp was spread over our pond to keep the trimmings from falling in and the top of our outdoor lighting fixtures were detached to protect them. James minimized the use of a chain saw, doing most of the work with a pole cutter. My greatest concern was maintaining the privacy screen which our trees provide. Great care was taken to do so.
