I had used Mr. Pino before to paint the exterior windows and trim. I needed all my shutters painted (8) and exterior front door trim. I phoned him, he came the next day to give me an estimate which included 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Paint which I requested, and the following day he was there on time to do the work. I had given him the paint swatch to match our new front door and the paint he bought was a perfect match. Far from professional painters. Potts Brothers did an acceptable job with the power washing; there was some sand that was left on the bottom of both of the fences and on the bottom of the four poles holding up the deck. I removed the sand myself before they returned to paint. The estimate included covering the work areas during painting; this was not done well at all. Paint was splattered all over my siding and was dripped all over the patio below the deck. They even got paint on sections of the patio that were no where near the areas that had been painted. Potts Bothers did a below average job with the actual painting. There are many areas of the deck and fencing where paint was allowed to run and dry like that. An even amount of paint was not applied to all painted areas; some areas of the deck and fence are darker than other areas. After contacting the office the next day regarding the splattered paint, Potts Bothers agreed to clean-up the splattered paint on the siding and the paint that was dripped on the patio. Six days after painting, the orginal painting crew used paint thinner, ligher fluid, sand paper, and a scrapper to remove most of the excess paint on the siding and the patio. There are still a few drops of splatted paint left on the siding. I could have painted everything myself and saved money; I hired a professional painter in order to have a professionally painted deck without paint being splattered on the siding and dripped on the patio below. I did not receive this; it was as if a bunch of amateurs did not prepare the area to be painted and just slopped paint on the deck and fence without worring about if the paint was even, was running, or was getting on the siding or patio. I would not recommend Potts Brothers.

"Went well. Everyone was polite, professional, and punctual. The only thing I would change is communicating in more detail about who was painting which part of the door frame and sides of doors. I painted a couple of bedrooms myself and needed help finishing the hallway. "I received 3 Estimates. Two were from Angie's List referenced Companies and one was not. I was told by the non-Angie's List Company that all my Fascia Boards, which were already wrapped with PVC coated metal, had to be replaced due to being rotten before I could have my Gutters replaced. "In a word - Fabulous. I had previously painted the picket railing on my large deck. They had been painted using oil-based paint in the past and had cracked and pealed, requiring re-painting each year. Two years ago I again painted that railing using a paint additive called Polymatrx. Since the additive can only be mixed with latex paint, I had to use a primer over the oil-based paint, and then put a coat of latex paint on after adding the polymatrx to the paint. I have had no peeling or cracking on those pickets in two years, and so decided to paint all of the trim on the house using that additive. I contacted Riverside Painting to do this job, explaining that I have already painted all of the trim that can be reached by using a 10 foot ladder, and only wanted an estimate for painting the higher levels of the house. Some of those levels required use of ladders which were over 40 feet long - possibly as high as 60 feet. It was not an easy job. Derek James came to the site and was very professional. He measured the trim to be painted, realizing that two coats would be required. Riverside gave me the Angie s List discount and 5 year warranty. They did the work on my schedule and the crew of 5 completed the job in about 8 hours. I am totally pleased with their work. They even suggested that they paint a 35 foot-long gutter that was not in the estimate, and did not charge me for that."

"Outstanding. The job was originally estimated at one day but it soon turned into three full days. Every board that was cut and every shingle that was nailed was done in a highly professional manner. The roof is literally better than new. After raking the lawn could not come up with a single nail, the cleanup was that good. The roof itself was quoted at $5100 plus the additional plywood as needed. Another firm quoted a price including all needed plywood that was at least $500 more and did not include the finish coat of paint on the windows. The total cost was $9500 but that included an extensive amount of carpentry work (both roof plywood and window framing) at what I considered a reasonable price. An added bonus is we have enclosed gutters. The old roof the rain would bounce off the top of the gutters and could be very noisy at times, the new roof is very quiet. Roof color matches the paint scheme for the house and the installation was first rate. Price, quality, timeliness, could not have been better. Would definitely use this company again and would be happy to tell my neighbors. Two other quotes we received were higher as noted above and one couldn't supply the exact shingle color we wanted."
