Eyewear is a broad category that includes everything from spectacles to performance eye protectors. Depending on the type and intended purpose, different quality standards may apply to different eyewear, but durability and product safety remain important considerations across the board.
QIMA provides performance and lab testing for all categories of eyewear, eye protection, and ophthalmic products, including:

QIMA provides a wide range of performance tests and lab tests for all types of eyewear, including prescription glasses, reading spectacles, fashion eyewear (tinted and clear), sunglasses, ski and safety goggles, and more. We can help you ensure that your product meets the quality and safety requirements of your destination market, as well as all applicable international standards.
We provide a two-tier process for quality assurance of your eyewear. Product Inspections in the factory are used to check your product’s performance characteristics, while Lab Testing in our HOKLAS accredited and CNAS accredited laboratories subjects all types of eyewear to a variety of mechanical, optical and chemical tests.
QIMA takes the hassle out of the eyewear certification process by acting as your one-stop certification provider. Following the required accredited test in our lab, we work with you to review the document package required for certification by the Notified Body (NB) and liaise with the Notified Body on your behalf. This involves sending your documents, providing any additional information required by the NB, collecting the certificate from the NB, and forwarding it to you directly.
Why Choose QIMA’s One-Stop Certification Services:
With our HOKLAS accredited testing lab, we offer the largest available range of tests and QA services for eyewear. Our laboratory is accredited to test eyewear to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for Eyewear and Ophthalmic Products, and to issue reports with HOKLAS and CNAS endorsement.
QIMA's test reports for eyewear are recognized by BSI Group (UK), SAI Global (UK), CSI Spa (Italy), the Institute for Testing and Certification, Inc. (Czech Republic) and Benchmark Product Certification (Australia).
