The Goods

Choice packages built by the community for the community of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server users.

Community Maintained

SUSE Package Hub packages are built and maintained by a community of users and "packagers" utilizing the Open Build Service. That means you don't need to build everything alone yourself!

SUSE Approved

While the packages from the SUSE Package Hub are not officially supported by SUSE, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server remains supported and supportable when using these packages.

Factory Built

openSUSE Factory is the package production system churning out high quality, up-to-date packages for openSUSE Tumbleweed and openSUSE Leap distributions. The exact same source code qualified and approved for those distributions is used for the SUSE Package Hub.

Free!

There is no extra cost to use SUSE Package Hub packages with valid SUSE Linux Enterprise subscriptions.

Always There

Searching for those packages that used to be available on download.opensuse.org or some other community download site? Packages in the Package Hub remain available for the life of the SUSE Linux Enterprise product. Also, every release remains available, so if an update breaks something, you can easily roll back to the previous release.

How to Use

Using the SUSE Package Hub with SUSE Linux Enterprise products is as easy as:

  1. Register your SUSE product
  2. Enable the SUSE Package Hub extension
  3. Search for and install packages using standard SUSE tools

Become a Contributor

Are you already maintaining packages for openSUSE Factory and want to share them with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 users?

one, two, three...

  1. Add the openSUSE:Backports:SLE-12 repository to the project the packages are maintained in
  2. Build the packages against the Backports project
  3. osc mr $MYPROJECT/$MYPACKAGE openSUSE:Backports:SLE-12
Are you already maintaining packages for openSUSE Leap 15.x? Those packages are probably already part of Package Hub for SLE 15 users via automatic integration!
