"We are so, so happy with the work of Chris and his team. It bears specifying that Chris, Paul, and each individual team member was genuinely a pleasure to work with. We had two major projects going on at our home at once, but, despite the potential chaos, Sweet Success were consummate professionals from start to finish. Easy to talk to, they were always helpful when I had questions and seemed happy to walk me through options and details. And they were always punctual and, simply, models of diligence in their work. The work itself speaks to that diligence. It’s difficult to describe the extent of the transformation, but the word “stunning” certainly applies, and we are still receiving compliments from our neighbors four months later. We are grateful for Chris’s attention to detail and his sincere respect for the age and character of our 120-odd-year old home. He’s managed to turn a decrepit mess into something that looks like new without losing an ounce of that character, which was so important to us. He was an efficient worker, and completed the job within a week. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and pricing was reasonable. He went over beforehand the materials that he had to purchase for the job and provided us with the receipts. He is detail-oriented and cares about craftsmanship. "My wife and I moved to Export, PA from California. We noticed that so many houses we looked at, including the house we eventually purchased, had the plaster "Swirls" on every roof and wall. Wow, how ugly and dated. We did not know anyone in PA to call, so we tried several contractors from the internet. Not one drywall finishing contractor who came out even knew what a simple "Knock Down" finish was. We were told to keep the Swirls, turn the walls to flat, etc. We turned to Angie's List and that is where we met Robert Pirl with Pirl Finishing. Robert came out, knew what we were wanting and gave us a formal quote. Robert showed up with his workers, completed the job timely and up to the very high standards and expectations of my wife. This was a two week job and Robert and Josh did great work and listened to our concerns throughout the project. We will be starting the same project downstairs in the next few weeks and wouldn't think of having anyone other than Robert and Josh do the work. Pirl Finishing is not a cheap, fly-by-night Company. Expect to pay a fair amount for their quality work. Robert doesn't do things halfway and we are very pleased to have met him. Final Note: It has come to my understanding that a simple "Knock Down" texture coat is not that popular in the Pittsburgh area. If you are wanting to get rid of those ugly dated plaster "Swirls", give Pirl Finishing a call. They know what they are doing. "Goodmudders' work was excellent -- Donny replied to my emails and texts very quickly. Work was scheduled and completed in only a few days from start to finish. We also needed a new curtain rod installed over a large window area and asked for additional pricing for that. Workers removed a large, complex/old system that was in place and hung the new one for no extra charge. The drywall/baseboard both look fantastic. We could not have had a better experience.

"I was looking for a handyman. After dealing with a few incompetent guys, I came across Karl Poruben Jr. on Angie’s List. He had great reviews. I called him and discussed how I was looking to install gutter guards at my residence. He was familiar with the product. Next day, he visited the property to see what kind of ladders, tools etc. is needed for the job. We agreed upon a price. As promised, he showed my doorstep bright and early on Monday. It took him a few hours to complete the job. Job was completed with utmost satisfaction. He’s already coming back to work on different projects. Also, I am in the process of sharing his info with others so they can hire him as well. Don’t waste your time by calling others and give this guy a chance, you will not be disappointed.

"Very well. Milo came over promptly to give us an estimate. Within days we received it. He reviewed the estimate in detail and answered all of our questions/concerns.
