About This Program
The graduate NanoCert in operational crisis management is a concentrated program offering a crisis management foundation and skills development in using technology to mitigate organizational risk. Variables involved in crisis planning, communication, and management are examined. This NanoCert is designed to help you identify potential internal and external crises and provide insight on how businesses can use artificial intelligence to prepare to face crises and challenges. This online program examines the types of crises, the importance of developing a crisis management plan and implementing a team, and the ways to overcome crisis.
The courses in this NanoCert are designed to bring you closer to completion of the following degrees and certificates: MBA (Master of Business Administration, Operational Crisis Management concentration), MA in Management (Organizational Crisis Management concentration), Graduate Certificate in Human Capital Leadership, and the Graduate Certificate in Organizational Management.

BUSN656 covers several key concepts. In the course, the student will learn to identify potential internal and external crises and provide insight on how businesses can use AI to prepare to face crises and challenges. Students will develop an understanding of how AI technology improves the efficiency of the management process during a crisis response. Students will learn how the use of robotics, information sharing using ontologies, and providing multi-agent systems for real-time support and simulated environments assist in crisis management planning. They will also learn about the tools needed to conduct ethically sound crisis management practices.

- All AMU master's degree/graduate certificate programs require a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

1Alumni Graduated with No APUS-incurred Student Loan Debt As of December 31, 2021
Includes alumni who graduated with an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree from APUS. Student loan debt is defined as student loans and private education loans used for tuition, fees, living expenses, and book costs associated with courses taken at APUS. Many APUS students receive military tuition assistance and veterans education benefits, which are not student loan debt.

To minimize out-of-pocket costs, U.S. active-duty servicemembers, their spouse/dependents, National Guard members, and Reservists receive a tuition grant that caps undergraduate, master's degree, and graduate certificate tuition at $250/credit hour. In addition, a university book grant provides no-cost textbooks and ebooks for all undergraduates and military-tuition-grant-eligible master’s-level students.
