Command Teams are responsible for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program at their military installation or organization. They are responsible for creating an environment that promotes decreased prevalence, increased reporting of sexual assault and harassment, and providing victims optimal care.

DoD SAPRO has gathered a variety of resources and tools to assist military leaders in establishing climates that are not conducive to sexual assault and harassment, and instilling confidence in SAPR services.

When you receive an Unrestricted report:

Follow this 30-Day Checklist to provide a baseline response to adult sexual assault victim(s) and alleged offender(s) in the event of an Unrestricted Report of sexual assault.	An incident report must be submitted in writing within 8 days to your General/Flag Officer after an Unrestricted Report of sexual assault has been made. New to Command? Conducting a Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute climate survey will provide insight into your organization’s culture.	Safety Assessments are required as part of DoDI 6495.02 in response to Unrestricted and Restricted reports.	The Safety Assessment Tool is designed to evaluate current suicidal/homicidal behaviors in alleged perpetrator(s) or in victims of sexual assault who are at risk.
