Lead Counsel, Product (Instagram)
Meta seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as Lead Counsel serving a number of teams responsible for Instagram products and/or communities. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Lead Counsel, Product (Instagram) Responsibilities
  • Advise on and drive legal strategy for Instagram products and initiatives
  • Review products, features and business initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, engineering, product marketing and other cross-functional teams on product development and other initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm or in-house experience (applicable product counseling, regulatory, litigation, and/or compliance experience)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience advising clients on risk mitigation across technology product platforms
  • Experience working on product counseling, regulatory, litigation, and compliance matters
  • Experience in privacy, content, ranking, machine learning, messaging, integrity, intermediary liability, competition
