Rotational Engineering
Come build with Meta and gain valuable technical skills, experience, and mentorship to grow your career.

What is the Rotational Engineering program?
Meta’s Rotational Engineering program is a 12-month program designed to enable programmers and software engineers from all backgrounds to reach their full potential.
How it works
Rotational engineers start by completing Meta’s engineering bootcamp, which combines training on our tools, technologies, and best practices while receiving continuous mentorship. Over the course of the year, participants work on core engineering products and systems across two different engineering teams. Rotational engineers help fulfill Meta’s mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. This program is currently based in Boston, Menlo Park, Seattle, New York, and London.
Who should apply
Software engineers who have worked in any industry, but still believe that they have the capability to grow beyond their current station. People from all backgrounds are eligible and those from traditionally underrepresented communities in programming and computer science are highly encouraged to apply. This program is for those who are interested in receiving close mentorship from experienced peers in a world-class production environment.
How to apply
The Rotational Engineering program is open to all qualified candidates. We strongly encourage candidates who are members of historically underrepresented groups and have non-traditional career paths to apply. This includes but is not limited to candidates from non-tech industries, candidates who are self-taught, candidates starting second careers, candidates re-entering the workforce, and those who have attended bootcamp-style programming courses. During the application process, candidates will complete a series of interviews that assess their current ability and potential for growth. Apply for the program in your region below.

What happens during the Rotational Engineering program

Kickoff and Training

The Rotational Engineering program begins with an Engineering Bootcamp that spans four to seven weeks. Throughout this period of time, participants are set up for success to matriculate through the program via in-depth training on Meta technologies and best practices.

Mentorship and Teamwork

During the rotational period, participants work on two Engineering teams across the company. They work side-by-side with engineers and ship live code on projects and products that are core to Meta’s mission and growth.

Experience and Evaluation

Before the program concludes, each participant will be considered for full-time roles at Meta.
