I’ve worked with a lot of remodeling companies before, in my youth I did a lot of property investment. I know what to expect. What I didn’t expect was the amount of effort and personal pride US Home Developers put into my project. Last November, I bought a new property out in Tarzana that needed some remodeling work done on it. I didn’t want to get started until January and in the meantime spent my Christmas holidays looking for the right company to do it. I namely wanted to add an entirely new front section to my home, as I was unhappy with it’s outdated, 1950's look. I wanted something with more class and modern touch, but didn’t want to completely destroy the property. It was a complex project, so I knew that I needed a company that can handle that level of complexity. I went on Yelp and found a company nearby, in Simi Valley, and called them over. They sent an agent, who arrived late, and we began to go over the plans. He proposed these great things, but it seemed that he was aiming to make the project bigger and bigger so he can charge me more. Afterwards I said I’d be in touch and he began to pester me about when I would sign with them. Needless to say, when he left I didn’t have a particularly good impression. So my search went on. This time I went on Angie’s List and found US Home Developers. They were not located that far away and they were able to send an agent the next day. When their agent arrived I took notice that unlike the previous guy, this one was closely paying attention to what I wanted. We went over the plans and he gave me some examples of what he wanted to do with his mobile tablet. He was able to immediately provide clear examples and price on everything. I was surprised at how open he was. He even suggested making a few changes that would save me money. In a few days we met again and this time he provided me a digital image of what the end-result of the project would roughly look like. This gave me a much clearer perspective – and I was ready to sign. Their crew arrived within a few days and began work. As expected at this point they did an admirable job, everyone was working at their best. They had someone from US Home Developers present all the time, made sure everything was working perfectly. There was minimal interruptions, during the rainy days. But before there was rain the crew would make sure to cover all the equipment and supplies to make sure nothing was damaged or ruined. When they finished the work the addition looked great. It was exactly how we planned it, even with the examples that were provided from the beginning. Before they even finished, they cleaned up the interior so thoroughly I was expecting some residual dust or a few pieces remaining, but found that everything was polished clean. That amount of effort to make sure that I was happy with the job solidified the high quality workmanship they provided.
