Cincinnati Dock Repair

My husband gave him the money upfront. He started the job, which was not done well then never returned. Was unable to contact him. He took the money from a 72 yo disabled Viet Nam vet. We had to pay someone to rip out the work he had done bc it was so bad and pay someone else to do the work we paid Will Evans to do.

Took the money up front (yes, I know dumb idea). My 72 yo disabled veteran hired Will Evans to do repairs. Will took the money and never finished plus what he did we had to hire someone else who had to tear out everything and redo it bc what Will did was so terrible nothing could be salvaged. We have pictures of proof plus we took him to small claims court, he never showed, and we won judgement against him for the entire amount plus part of what we paid to remove his incompetence. If you have any information on where he is we would appreciate the information. We have not been able to collect a dime on this deadbeat!

I contacted Scott Simpson after our first contractor took off with ~$25,000 of our money and a half completed house. My husband and I were very nervous about working with another contractor. Scott won us over and we gave him the job. Since we live 2 hours from the lake house Scott sent us pictures and kept us up to date weekly. Scott and his crew are the friendliest people. I would go to the lake by myself many times so I could stain wood, or paint. I can honestly say that I looked forward to them coming in the morning. They are respectful, clean, kind men. They got to know my family (even my dog). They would stop immediately if I needed to talk to them and dealt with my constant need to make this new house look like a home. Sometimes I would move their tools or walk behind them cleaning up - they just laughed and worked around me. Their work ethic is incredible and the quality shows. They came in on weekends if we needed it and worked late if they knew we were coming in to town to see them. I can't recommend this company enough. We did not know them at all prior to May 2011 but I would consider them friends now. I will really hate to see them leave. So, thank you to Scott, Doug, Johnny, Jeff, Louie, Steve, and of course, Jamie. You restored our faith and became our friends.

Unfortunately I was unable to be on site when Greg came out to write an estimate. There were a few mis -communications, I believe because of this. However, after we were all able to get on the same page, Greg was more than fair and even I believe lost money on this project! His crew exemplified the utmost professionalism and absolutely worked their a**** off! They worked non-stop until dark. This project turned out to be a lot more than they bargained for I think, but that was never passed on to me, Greg absorbed a lot of costs. The crew the next day did an excellent job of staining the deck and you can barely tell the difference between the 15 year old planks and the new ones. I had the option of having a stain that's used on docks, which I chose. The quality of the product is outstanding. I believe one of the big reasons my deck staining looks so good is I chose to have the superior product to be applied. Greg explained the differences and since I don't stain and seal but every 5 yrs. or so he recommended it. I can't say enough about the workmanship and professionalism of his crew. They were on time and always working. I was always able to talk to Greg and I always felt he was on my side. Because of the mis-communication, I ended up with a $5000. deck and only paid $2300. and change. Greg, you have an amazing business with an amazing crew. You obviously work very hard to maintain that. The only advice I would have for you is to write everything down. Draw out plans in duplicate, one for me, one for you and one for your crew. Have your customers sign it and list prices of everything you might conceivably come across. Had you done that, I think the lines of communication would have been clearer. But I totally trust you and your crew and I will call you again should I need your services. Congratulations on a job well done!

We used them three times and they are wonderful. They showed up on time, they are clean cut, they are very polite, they did their job and they got it done in the time that is allotted. They are just great. On two occasions they have also put up fences for us and they did an excellent job. They came in at the estimates and there was no problem. For the recent job we got two other estimates they beat their price. During the last fall when we had the wind storm we had a bunch of trees go down so they came in and helped us with that. One can count on them, they are very polite, they are clean and they have nice vehicles and one need not worry about that they are going to pull up in some junk. It is a good company. Prior two and half years ago we had a pond dug and we built our house they came in and they came in and put the dock on. They did great. As a matter of fact they did that while we were living in Michigan. They came on the property and they did it and there was no issue. They do everything. We have not asked them something they could not do. Last year for Christmas I had them plant a giant Willow tree for my husband as surprise. They picked it up in their truck, brought it and planted it. We have a new house and we don’t have any trees near the house they came and did that. I am by myself a lot and in case I need them for anything they are on my speed dial. They are trust worthy and an excellent company.
