Visitors seeking assistance from the Regional Office Public Contact Team are encouraged to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment on the Visitor Engagement Reporting Application (VERA). Lincoln Regional Office Outreach Hours

Service Members, Veterans, their families, and Survivors are invited to request information on VA Benefits including disability compensation, pension, fiduciary, education, Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E), Home Loans, and Insurance. In addition to information on VA Benefits Veterans may initiate an intent to file and request assistance with filing compensation and pension claims. These services are provided by members of the Lincoln Regional Office (RO) Public Contact team at the following locations and times. 

The new VA Clinic in Lincoln, NE located at 420 Victory Park Dr. Lincoln, NE 68510 every Tuesday from 8:30am – 4:00pm.

The Grand Island VA Medical Center located at 2201 N Broadwell Ave. Grand Island, NE 68803 every Wednesday from 10:00am - 2:30pm. 

The Lincoln RO located at 3800 Village Dr. Lincoln, NE 68516 is opened to the public Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Veterans and beneficiaries may also obtain information about claims and benefits by calling the VA Benefits Hotline at 800-827-1000 Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm CT. 

 

On March 11, 2021, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched VRRAP for Veterans who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Veterans participating in VRRAP can receive education and training for high-demand occupations, which is determined by the Commissioner of Labor Statistics.  Veterans will receive up to 12 months of tuition and fees and a monthly housing allowance based on Post-9/11 GI Bill rates.  To learn more about VRRAP and how to apply for the program, Veterans can visit www.va.gov.  Veterans can also contact the Education Call Center at 888-442-4551 between 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday to speak with a VA education representative. 

Are you an Alaska Native Vietnam-era Veteran?

You may be entitled to a Native allotment selection, if you are an Alaska Native Vietnam Veteran who served between 1964 and 1971, AND have not received a Native allotment, OR are an heir to someone who meets the above criteria.
