About This Program
The online undergraduate certificate in public lands management from American Public University (APU) teaches you the origins of national parks, forests, and refuges, and the tools and techniques land managers employ to sustain multiple uses.
Study contemporary management techniques and fundamental land use controls, such as zoning and land use policy.
You’ll also master regulatory and policy issues, use tools like remote sensing and geographic information systems technology, and be introduced to land preservation and protection strategies. The knowledge you’ll gain applies to various industry fields, such as forestry, land conservation, and land management.
Public lands management courses in APU’s certificate are an ideal way to expand your knowledge without committing to a degree program.
