Activity log

The Activity log is a separate part of a community's Manage section where the administrators’ internal activities are logged.

How does it work?

  • There are filters for date, event type and specific managers. You can see what any administrator did, including administrators whose roles have been revoked.
  • You don’t have to open a new tab to see posts, photos or videos that are mentioned in the log. Everything can be viewed in one interface.
  • Activities of one type that were performed by the same person in a three-hour period are grouped in one cell. To reveal all activities, press the cell to expand it. To switch between basic and detailed views, press the three lines icon in the upper right corner of the section.
  • If content was deleted and then restored, this deletion will disappear from the activity log.
  • The activity log is available in a community's Manage section on the desktop version.

What does it show?

  • Manager administration: assigned, revoked and changed roles
  • Member administration: blocked, unblocked and removed users, approved and rejected requests to join, removed a user from the community
  • Wall management: deleted regular and scheduled posts and comments
  • Content updates: added videos and discussion topics, deleted photos, videos and discussion topics
  • Information changes: changed or deleted the short name, changed the community’s name and category
  • Settings changes: enabled and disabled age restrictions and comment filter
  • Restrictions: information about the community's restrictions and instances of being blocked (bans on posting links and publishing stories, sending messages, being blocked from the Market platform, disabled VK Donut or covers). However, very old information won't appear in this section.

You can restore comments, posts, photos and videos. To do this, go to the Activity log and press Cancel activity near the activity you want to undo. This can only be done on the desktop version.

Important! Content can be restored up to two weeks after being deleted. After that, it can't be restored by community managers.
