Adding a content source

When creating a post, it’s possible to indicate its source. To do this, hover over the gear icon to the left of the Post button and select Add source. Enter the URL to a specific post, illustration, video, document or product. If you’ve combined several materials, indicate the private profile or community where you found them as the source. Internal and external URLs are supported.

Why do I need to add the source?

Indicating the source helps you to avoid restrictions imposed by Nemesis, to give credit to the creator of the content and to keep the post looking neat.

Note:

1. This function is available on profiles and communities.
2. Only one source can be indicated for each post.
3. When editing a post, you can also edit the source’s URL.
4. If you indicate a post that also contains a source, your post will have the source of your source.
5. Sources can’t be added to reposts. However, the original post that you’re reposting may contain a source.
6. When suggesting a post, you can add a source so that the community administrator knows that the content is borrowed.

How does Nemesis view posts with sources?

If you indicate the source of the content, you’ll have copied it correctly, since the author will get recognition. Nevertheless, posts with sources may still get reported. The inclusion of a source doesn’t give them immunity.
