The proper power equipment was brought into the rear yard where the grassy area is and and the process of detaching, aerating, and vacuuming up the debris was done. Next the seed was placed. A roller drum was used to disperse the top dressing to cover the seed. The sprinklers were tested and the fertilizer watered in. Next, a blower was used to clean the rear patio that was used to access the grass. The pebbles showed tracks from the power equipment being brought in and it was raked to even it out again. The irrigation clock, using a separate program, was set to lightly water the new seed several time a day until germination. Since I asked for the overseeding apart from the "deal" i purchased from Angie's list, I will receive a small bill for this extra work in about a week's time. Since I have a dog, I was cautioned to keep the dog away from the lawn for a couple of days until the fertilizer is completely watered in from the daily irrigation. I do not yet know how the lawn will react to these measures, nor if the seed will germinate well.

I think the experience was pretty positive. The only little thing that wasn't great was that they scraped out the old sod just for shovels and all the old weeds and the seeds that were down underneath and they've come up through the new sod and other than that I think we are pretty happy with the work product.

Matt at Riverside gets our highest rating for quality and service. He personally was on site with his crew who did an outstanding job of leveling and installing a beautiful retaining wall on a steep slope off the garage landing area, he installed new fill behind the wall, constructed the wall for water drainage and sodded the flat area held up by the wall. Also our home is heavily wooded and hilly and so post construction there were needed dirt work to direct and fix the drainage routes. The erosion control netting protected the new grass seeds from washing away and now the area looks great. The price was remarkably good. I will continue to hire Riverside Landscaping for all our future needs, no hesitation and highly recommend their work.

WHILE DOUG IS A VERY NICE MAN AND KNOWLEDGEABLE, HIS ABILITY TO DO THINGS ON TIME WAS POOR, AND FOLLOW UP VERY POOR. HIS PRICING WAS A BIT HIGH, BUT I USED HIM BECAUSE I THOUGHT HIS IDEAS WERE GOOD. A YEAR HAS PASSED SINCE HIS WORK, THE THE JOB FOR THE GRASS SEEDING HAS NOT HELD UP VERY WELL.

We used them when we needed to have our yard redone. They came in, plowed everything up, seeded, & fertilized the lawn. They also planted all the bushes & shrubs for us. They came back to perform maintenance on everything also. I feel they did an excellent job for us, as there wasn't a mess for us to pick up. It looks great & we are proud of our lawn.

Swimmingly, once she worked me into her schedule (about six weeks between deposit and doing the work). The crew prepped every non-grass part of my yard--removing weeds, etc.--not just the replanting areas. Hurricane Harvey had deposited every weed seed in Harris county on my property. The design is pleasing and I'm very happy with it. In the front yard photo, the large shrub at the back was existing. But they weeded the area and mulched it.

They day after they installed the perennials, they died. Before they started, he provided a digital drawing of how the landscaping will look. The final job doesn't look like the drawing, and they said it what it should look like in 5 years once everything is matured. They never didn't install any dirt, they never tilled, or put down grass seed. They weren't paid for the things that weren't done, but the company demanded it still be paid for but finally let it go.

It turned out okay. I paid essentially double the Big Deal purchase cost. They could have come back out and followed-up like they said they were going to. It was not a big deal, but it was a sod thing and there was a little bit that was missing. The guy said that it was just a couple of pieces and that he would bring that out later that day or tomorrow and I never saw him again. The price seemed fair. The stuff that they did was good except for the missing part which I had to seed one myself.

Sean and his helper did the job quickly and efficiently over the course of a day and a half. It looks great. The grass grew quickly and the whole area is greatly improved. Sean is obviously good at what he does and he made other suggestions to improve my property

We called Jordan after our yard service that we had used in the past walked off the job. The original crew was hired to clear the entire front and back yards of a house we had recently purchased that was totally overgrown. It was a huge job and the previous crew did cut down everything but then gave up when it was time to haul it to the dump. Jordan and his brother, Jose, came and looked at the task and we agreed the price. It seems like a lot of money but this was a 1/2 acre lot where the bushes and weeds that were cut down were in the region of 6 ft tall. We knew that as well as the cost of labor there would be significant disposal fees. Jordan & Jose worked a very long day to clear the lot in one day. They were extremely polite and respectful and suggested some ways of reducing our costs when we came to landscape the yard. We asked Jordan and Jose to bid on the next stage of the project, which is preparing the ground and seeding the front yard. Their bid is again competitive and we hope that over the next year that we can continue to hire them to landscape and maintain both the front and back yards.

I have been using Century Lawn & Landscape since June 2014. Our property is over 1 acre. The company has several maintenance plans that one can choose. I signed up for The Works Maintenance Package, because it gives me piece of mind that my yard always looks good. I have been very satisfied with Kyle and his team. If Kyle sees anything that he feels needs my attention he lets me know, even if it has nothing to do with landscaping. As in the case of a septic system drip line that was inadvertently punctured. (Let's just say my husband and a pitch fork were involved...) This fall, I had Kyle spread wildflower seeds and install a path made of decomposed granite in my backyard. Kyle's wife, Jenna, handles the phone calls, emails, & billing, among other things. She is very quick to return my emails & phone calls. If I need to talk to Kyle or leave a message for him, it doesn't take long for me to hear back from Kyle. I am extremely satisfied with Century Lawn & Landscape!

Great. I posted a want ad on Craigslist. Sean responded promptly by email, and after the initial contact, promptly by phone. Sean came to my house, and I explained to him my issues: brown patches, lack of color, etc. He offered suggestions, including the removal of the kalmia. I was shocked and excited, I never thought that was an option. The tree has been a headache, dropping leaves that kill the grass below. He also asked my budget and we were in agreement. I am looking forward to him transforming to my back yard too!

Matt has been very proactive and responsive and shows up when scheduled. He has a good crew that cleans up after themselves which is way better than all the contractors that we had here building the house. He worked with me to find deer resistant, mostly native plants that I found and specified. After personally subcontracting our new house for over two years and being totally frustrated with contractors not showing up when scheduled, doing a poor job, billing incorrectly, just generally being poor business people, Matt has been a light at the end of a very long tunnel.
