We live in a residential neighborhood with very mature 75' plus pine, maple and oak trees. Trees causing significant damage in our neighborhood is not uncommon. In just the last couple years we had a tree bisect a neighbor’s roof and another crush a car down to the axles. I had two overgrown Maples and a very large Oak tree that required attention. But admittedly I had put off addressing them after having received an exorbitant quotation from another tree service. However, after a couple of summer squalls downed limbs on our property and threatening power lines I decided I could no longer ignore that our trees needed attention. While I had considered the tree service who had already provided me a quote a couple years back. My neighbor was coincidentally pruning back several very large Oaks in both the front and back of his property. I marveled at their professionalism, efficiency and asked my neighbor if he was happy with the work. He raved about how happy he was with the quality of the work and how reasonable they were. The company was Walnut Tree Services. Frankly, even with the glowing review from my neighbor and having witnessed the final product, I was a bit skeptical when their estimate was almost half of other quotations I had received. Was I missing something? I read through all the very positive reviews online and decided to take that chance. And I’m very glad I did. I scheduled the removal of one large Maple next to power lines with stump removal and the pruning back of a second Maple. And the pruning of a huge Oak that teetered over the fence I share with my other neighbor. The day the service was scheduled for was the same Friday that Hurricane Elsa was ripping up the coast. The horizontal rain was like a fire hose nonstop. So when I got a call from their office that morning I thought for sure they were calling to reschedule. Nope. They were calling to tell me the they finished the previous job early and asked if it was OK for them to come within 10 minutes. Perplexed and elated I said, “sure!” The team arrived with a caravan of trucks and equipment. Bucket truck, chipper truck, stump truck, crew truck and a massive grinder. All appeared to be state-of-the-art and brand new. I have had other tree services take down big trees on the property before. But I had never seen anything like this. There was a crew of 8-10 guys all working in unison with one another. The lead guy who was also the scalpel man in the trees was my point person. He made sure that he reviewed everything they were going to do. And made sure I was happy with the service the entire time. One stand out moment was that it also happen to be garbage pick up day. Our garbage cans and our neighbors cans were visually obscured by all their equipment. So the garbage trucks were ready to just drive past without picking up. Walnut’s crew realizing the situation stopped what they were doing and flagged down he garbage truck. And proceeded to move the garbage cans to assist in pick up. My neighbor who happen to see this was as wowed as I was. Everything was done with surgical precision. And like a hospital my property was spotless upon their departure. You would be hard pressed to find wood chips after they were done. So I just wrote five paragraphs about a tree service performed. I know. I can’t believe it either. But that’s just how happy I am with the work they did. And it’s companies like this that I want to support and continue to be successful. If you ever need tree work done. Look no further. Just call these guys. You’ll be glad you did. I know I am.
