John DeSisto arrived on time to do a bed bug inspection (we had previously spotted a few). He did a thorough inspection of every bed and couch in the house and, thankfully, turned up nothing (apparently our attempts to deal with the bugs ourselves worked). He gave us some good advice on how to prevent problems should there be a few still lingering. He did NOT try to sell us any unnecessary services, for which we were grateful. Finally, he did NOT charge us anything for his considerable amount of time. The bottom line is he was thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable. We'll be sure to call him should the bed bugs turn up again.

Michael was prompt in answering my request for help and in scheduling an appointment. His costs were reasonable, especially compared to other companies I contacted. He was very relaxed and required less in the way of pre-treatment prep of the house than other places I called (although we had a very light problem, caught early). There was even some question whether this was bed bugs (a family member had been exposed) or fleas (we have indoor cats, but they are routinely doused with Frontline...so that seemed not so likely to me). Good news is no bites since Michael did the job...whatever they were. And, he will come back if we've more problems. We are sleeping peacefully!!

the first visit was a thorough consultation - looked in 5 rooms with a flashlight and looked everywhere - took about an hour. They discovered it was isolated to my daughter's room. They came back a few days to do the treatment. Just left! 4 guys were here for over an hour. Very, very thorough. Very informative. We've had these critters for over 5 years and used 2 other companies. The will now come back in 1 week to check, and 2 weeks after that. very reasonably priced!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them.

The gentleman was very professional. There is a ton of snow outside and he wiped his feet repeatedly and then covered his shoes with disposable booties. He spent over an hour tearing my bedroom apart, looking in every crevice, crack and nook for bugs. This included sliding a card through several "gaps" in my bed frame to ensure that there was no evidence of pests. He also inspected all of the base boards, behind picture frames and all around the doors. After an inspection of my bedroom he examined my couch and then spent 20 minutes looking at my luggage. I was very pleased with the quality of his inspection. He really made every effort to find the bugs. He gave several suggestions and follow up instructions.

I would not recommend this service for extermination of bed bugs. NW pest uses Cedar and it just doesn't work. I had the apartments sprayed 3 times, spaced 3 days apart. Bed bugs continued to appear. They sprayed a 4th time and told me to wait 2 weeks. Both apartments sprayed still have bed bugs (3 weeks later). My interactions with the company would have been fairly humerous, had it not been for my potentially losing tenants. On one occasion the desk support informed me I should tell my tenants to "keep their regular routine and not change anything" - as in, sleep in their beds and act like bait, so the bed bugs would come out, bite them, then die from cedar exposure. Hard to believe. On another occasion, the pest exterminator accused one of my tenants of not keeping his apartment clean which was probably causing them to hide in their belongings. This was to a paying tenant who just happened to be in an apartment the bed bugs migrated too. I could have lived with the ridiculous customer service if the treatment had actually worked, but the apartments still have bed bugs. I've just contracted a different pest control expert - Yankee Pest Control - who use heat to kill bed bugs. Apparently that actually works. Waiting to see how it goes!

Pest End Exterminating & Pro-Tech Lawn Care
I don't know where to begin.. I spent $500 on two treatments by this company and I STILL have them! Each time the technician came for the treatment he was inside for no more than 10 minutes.. What type of job can you do in that little time? In one of my rooms the treatment left a stain on my wall, an old picture I had AND an antique chair. The technician assured me that the stuff they use wouldn't effect my items.. Well it DID! Would NEVER recommend them and would certainly NEVER use them again. It was a waste of time, money and just added stress!!

They are very punctual and performed the services very good. The issue is heat treatment does not get rid of bed bugs; so did follow-up and they came with sniffing dog and did treatment. Still more bed bugs were discovered so contacted then but no response afterwards. During the initial discussion they promised will perform the treatment service if bed bugs were discovered, but the follow-up response is no good as Mike did not return the phone call or email. So beware of the service this provider provides; heat treatment will not get rid of all bed bugs but it at least need 3 or 4 times follow-up treatment which this provider will not provide; so think about spending money with this provider and getting not so expected result or you are willing to continue bed bug spray once in 3 weeks for 3 or 4 times.

Recent Review: I caught bedbugs from a friend's place. While I didn't have a huge infestation, they followed me on a trip to another city and back. Big bummer. Bite Back folks not only helped me accurately identify my bites and the bugs themselves, but helped me do what I could to combat their spread while I was traveling. When I got home, they helped me self-quarantine to stop the spread too, then they promptly came over and treated my house thoroughly in time to make sure my small problem didn't turn into a big one. The entire time I was treated with respect with all the questions bedbugs raise (what do I do about my books and records? Should I worry about one side of the room if they're on the other? What do I tell my roommates?). Without them I assume my landlord would have had to pay a ton for a pesticide service that would have only made the problem worse in the end. Even after I was in the clear, I contacted them to make sure I followed up well to prevent future issues. I highly recommend them--eco-friendly, human oriented, honest and simple work.

A tenant of mine felt she was being bitten at night time. I called a few different bed bug service providers and by far Ultra Safe Pest Management was the only one I felt comfortable with. The others said things that almost seemed like they wanted to scare us into thinking the problem was going to be very bad even though they had not even been to the apartment to inspect the situation by telling stories and saying that numerous treatments would be needed. They also charged per treatment. Vic from Ultra Safe was very professional and explained that he would have to inspect the area before determining the extend of the situation. He also had one fee that would allow for as many treatments as necessary to have the bugs exterminated from the apartment. He also guaranteed his work for 6 months. He explained how the process would work if it were to be treated. We had the apartment treated and as Vic explained earlier within a few days the dead bugs appeared. There was not a problem after that first treatment. My tenant chose not to discard her mattress and wanted her items treated again even though there were no more signs of bugs. Vic came out to treat the apartment again and no bugs appeared afterwards. After seeing that result I was very impressed that he took care of the problem in one visit and yet came back again to soothe my tenants worry. I was charged $600 because I had a coupon. The normal charge is higher and I would still definitely only hire Ultra Safe again even if I did not have a coupon as having the process of exterminating bugs by an experienced, knowledgeable company with superior results I believe is why the problem was resolved so quickly and professionally. (I did not find less expensive prices when calling around nor did I find someone who guaranteed their work so I was less confident about how many times other exterminators would require additional treatments.) I cannot say enough about how nice, professional, and courteous Vic and his employees were. Vic and Mark called to go over what was done after the treatment and took the time to explain everything in detail. Also, Vic always answered his phone or called right back during the entire process from the beginning prior to treatment when we were finding out information, during the process when I and my tenant had numerous questions and right to the very end. That is not something you find very often and it was so nice to have especially for a problem like bug extermination that requires immediate action, detailed prep work of the area, and careful follow up. I highly recommend Ultra Safe Pest Management!
