    It went great! We highly recommend Kurt and his team at Home Transformations. We recently had a very extensive interior painting and wall repair project completed by Home Transformations, and are very pleased with the experience and results. We had first worked with Kurt and his team at Home Transformations in 2019 on exterior painting at our house. The price was fair (not the lowest or the highest quote we received), the quality was good, and he and his crew were easy to work with. Based on that experience, Kurt was our only call when we were ready to tackle our interior. The interior painting was in our small St. Paul home where we live — not a vacant house — and we wanted nearly the whole interior painted. There were also significant repairs needed on our long-neglected plaster walls and ceilings and the intricate moulding throughout the house. We were worried about the disruption, but Kurt and his team was able to work with us to very quickly complete the project in just a week while we went away for spring break. There’s obviously a lot of chaos involved, but they made it as easy as possible — carefully moving and protecting our furniture and putting it back when done. And they got it done on the aggressive timeline we wanted! They lived up to their name of “Home Transformations” - it almost felt like one of those HGTV “reveal” shows when we returned home, walking into what almost felt like a new house! As an aside, we were pleased to find out that the crew leader for our 2022 interior painting project was the same as the crew leader for our 2019 exterior painting project. It was reassuring to know that Kurt does what it takes to retain skilled, experienced painters as long-term employees rather than churning through unskilled laborers

    I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Our experience with Home Transformations was fantastic, from the estimate through all the stages of prepping and painting our 2.5-story house. We got bids from four companies, and the estimates were fairly close. Kurt stood out by noting how seriously he takes the relationships he's building and maintaining with his crews. It bore out every day, as did their pride in the work they do. All of the HT folks were friendly and good communicators, and the workmanship was excellent. Kurt even suggested a paint scheme that we continue to love (as do our neighbors). I really had no idea our fairly humble house could look as good as it does

    Seven or eight years ago a storm rolled through the western suburbs of Minneapolis doing $40,000 to $50,000 in damage to our home. We hired our usual contractor to repair the damage. He did a good job on everything except our beautiful cedar deck on the south side of our home. When the contractor completed his work, our deck looked like it was covered in mud. The deck’s previous splendor became a distant memory and I resisted spending time on the deck. Nearly three years ago our house was in need of repainting. I stopped at our local paint store (the stores all the pros go to) and asked an acquaintance who has worked at the store for many years if he could recommend a painter to do high quality work. He gave me three names and I contacted all three. David DuBose the owner of Cutting Edge, Inc. came to look at the project on a Sunday afternoon. I told him straight-up that if he wasn’t confident that he could return the deck to its nearly original condition he should not take the job. He took one plank and told me he would get back to me. A short time later he told me he was confident he could bring the deck back to near original condition. At my request, Dave gave me a price to repaint the house, and a separate estimate to refinish the deck. I gave him both jobs. Dave contacted me about two weeks prior to the time he felt confident he could begin the project. As promised, Dave and his crew arrived right on schedule, ready to work. One or two members began preparing the deck and the remaining crew went to work preparing the house for paint. The house was completed very quickly and Cutting Edge did a GREAT job. The deck was completed a few days later and I could not have been more pleased. But the true test was time. Now, nearly three years later, the deck still looks brand new and you can’t get me off the deck. Just last week (03/2022), Cutting Edge completed a maintenance project on my home’s interior. Enamel trim (20 years old) had cracked and stained cabinets were showing wear and tear. A week of concentrated work by one of the Cutting Edge, finish guys and everything looked nearly as good new. I can’t say Cutting Edge is the least expensive in the short term. But I sincerely believe that quality work and quality products make Cutting Edge the best long-term value for the money. I have managed and developed a significant portfolio commercial property professionally since 1979. I highly recommend David DuBose and his Cutting Edge crew without any reservation
