"His Framer did a great job and quality work. Dealing with the owner was like dealing with a used car salesman. Lots of talk, lots of promises but only around when it’s time to get paid. His roofer took 3 days to finish 30 bundles of shingles. Meantime it rained and leaked into my kitchen. Owner NEVER came over to look at the damage. Just sent roofer over with the cheapest paint to “fix” it....as cheap as possible. Never came by to look at damage. His boys also dented my grill while working on the roof and nobody knew anything, but my wife heard them. As the project moved forward, their attendance got worse. They got the bigger draws (money) from me and started moving on to other checks. In fairness, he only has one guy working for him and a sub or two. One sub had left one day with less than an hour of work to get done to finish the project, didn’t see him for two weeks. Just finished the project yesterday that was started October 14th and it’s now December 5th. There were times the Contractor was at the job so infrequently, he didn’t even know where we were on the project and at times expected me to purchase lights that were installed weeks earlier and apart of the original contract. I worked in construction while going through school. I wouldn’t hire this guy to hang a picture in my house. He moved on from us to other checks and could’ve finished this project a month ago. But he kept pulling his guy to other jobs. Then he’d come by on a Saturday and install the handrails, then wouldn’t hear or see them again until the following weekend for an hour or so and put the spindles on, then gone again. If you don’t stay on them, I don’t think he would’ve cleaned up the site. Quality of wood construction was pretty good. Metal work was average at best. Dealing with the Owner....not worth it. Just hire his Main guy.

"I hired JS Painting Associates to do some drywall repair in two rooms where I had ceiling leaks and to patch a wall in another room. I selected JS after getting three quotes, and they were the most reasonably priced. They were able to schedule and complete my repairs very quickly, and did excellent work! In addition to the repairs being completed to my satisfaction, they also cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. I will be hiring them again. Normally, I never pay for painting work, but their quote was so reasonable and I was so pleased with their drywall work that I'm going to have them paint several rooms for me as well.

"Wow, I’d recommend this company without hesitation. I originally gathered a few paint contractor names from Angie’s List and friends and then got 4 estimates for several jobs around my house. I was impressed by the prompt and courteous response of Robin, Skip’s wife who runs the office. When we met to discuss the job, Skip himself was on time, knowledgeable and thorough (as are his written proposals - you know exactly each step that is taken - a good paint job is about 80% prep work!). His proposal came in a bit above mid-range of the 4; not the most expensive but I’ve learned you get what you pay for in painting. It was a no-brainer to hire him. He kept in good communication about start and end dates and followed through. In just over a day my horrid ceiling (water damage, peeling, buckling) looked brand new. I couldn’t believe it! Every job was done beautifully and I believe they may have left the site cleaner than they found it. It was the best painting experience I’ve had, start to finish.
