CHERP Home
The VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP) is a national HSR&D Center of Innovation with sites at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and the Corporal Michael Crescenz Medical Center in Philadelphia. The schools of health sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pennsylvania are CHERP's academic affiliates. CHERP was established in 2001 with the focus on detecting, understanding, and reducing disparities in health and health care in vulnerable populations.

Meet the Investigators
Robert Burke, MD, MS, FHM is a Director of Research in Hospital Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, an academic hospitalist at the Corporal Michael Crescenz VAMC, COIN Investigator with the VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP)and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine.
